Grace's POV

First day of school.

I went from popular girl with perfect jock boyfriend to normal girl with perfect bestfriend.

And now Devin and Marisa are miserable because everyone hates them.

So, all in all, it's not horrible.

Sadie sits next to me at the assembly.

"I got it." She whispers.

"Got what?" I ask her.

"Senior class president! I was just in the office. Mr. Davis picked me."

I hug her.

"Congratulations!"

She smiles.

"Welcome back, students! This year will be another great year at Stranahan. Now, a few words from our Senior Class President." Mr. Davis says.

Everyone applauds as Sadie stands up.

She walks up to the podium.

"Let me just start off by thanking Principal Davis for choosing me. This a huge honor. Secondly, thank God I'm finally a senior."

Everyone laughs.

"I'm really going to work as hard as I can to make my last year at Stranahan the best year this school has ever seen. We've been through some rough patches, but we always come together in the end to get through them. Our school is so supportive of each other, and that's what makes us the best. I'm looking forward to this year, what about you?"

Everyone cheers.

"Good luck, freshman." She says.

The whole school erupts into laughter.

She walks off the stage and sits back next to me.

I give her a fist bump.

"Nice speech."

"I was completely winging it." She says.

I laugh a little.

~~~~~~
"Alright, freshman! When I call your name, one of the seniors is going to wave. Go to them." Our coach, Lisa, says.
"Emily Booker!"
Sadie waves.
"Parker Davis!"
Sadie waves again.
"Lindsey Carlton!"
Marisa waves.
"Samantha Kimbell."
I wave.
The girl runs over to me.
I smile at her.
We keep going down the list until each one of us has a few freshman.
"Alright, these are your sisters. Freshman, ask the seniors anything. They're here to help you." Lisa says.
The sophomores and juniors run in.
"Okay, girls. We've competed at nationals in the past. We got third place a few years ago. We can do better. I know we can. This year, we will win. That's what we work toward all year, got it? No messing around." I say.
Everyone nods.
"Let's get started."
~~~~~~~

I wake up from a nap and see a letter on my nightstand.

I grab it and see that it's from London.

Matt.

I open it and look inside.

A picture of us from last year.

We're soaking wet sitting outside of the children's museum in Orlando.

Matt is kissing my cheek.

We look so happy.

There's a letter.

'Grace, do you remember this? Best day of my life. I miss you so much, and I hope you don't hate me.

- Matt'

I take out a piece of paper and write back.

'Matt, I could never hate you. I remember this day. I miss you so much. Thank you for the CD. I fall asleep listening to it. I can't wait to see you.

- Gracie'

I open my photo album and stick a picture of us in the envelope.

It's a picture of us from when we were really little.

I use the address on the envelope.

Stamps.

I need stamps.

~~~~~~~
"So, basically I'm asking you to be my maid of honor." Casey says.
I do love her.
I can't say no.
"Sure." I smile.
She hugs me.
"Thank you. This is going to be great." She says.
"I want to pick the bridesmaids dresses. And Sadie gets to be in the wedding." I say.
"Of course. Anything you want. I've got to call James." She stands up and goes in her room.
I call Sadie.
"Hey, what's up?" She answers.
"Do you wanna be a bridesmaid in Casey's wedding?" I ask her.
"Hell yeah!"
"Thank God. Okay, how do you feel about navy?"
