Unecessary Repitition

This is really not as common as I would hope it is; but then again, I read so much fan fiction that I do see it happen quite enough.

So if you don't understand what I mean by the title, it's when people are repetitive with the words they use in either a paragraph or page. They use specific adjectives or verbs too often, and do not instead use synonyms to that word.

You guys, it is not that hard to just look up similar terms to your word. But whenever you do, be certain that that synonym does not mean to something CLOSE to your word.

For example: Beautiful and Elegant are synonyms, due to being words with alike meanings. But that does not make them identical to one another. Beautiful means "pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically", and Elegant means "pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance or manner". You see, although they are synonyms, they don't have identical meanings. Plus, elegant cannot be used for certain phrases that beautiful can be used for.

Anyways, just make sure you don't make that mistake when looking up synonyms for your word.

My dudes, I don't want to read a paragraph where you keep using the same word over and over again. That is just annoying and shows that you are not putting in effort.

Example: "The scene in front of us was truly beautiful. I look to over to the right of me, only to meet the eyes of (insert random character). They were so beautiful. Their beauty was so entrancing, that I didn't even notice my body moving closer to them. It's practically like I was magnetized to them. It wasn't until my lips met their beautiful lips, that I realized we had gotten so close to each other."

YOU SEE! The word "beautiful" is used way too much in this paragraph. And it's more infuriating when there were better words you could use for certain sentences. For reference, you could have used gorgeous, alluring, stunning, and/or attractive.
