Minho's gaze shot upward, his heart racing as he recognized the familiar figure responsible for the sudden jolt of pain in his jaw. It was none other than his older brother, Jackson. Rising to his feet, he winced, the sting still fresh.
"What the hell was that for?" Minho spat, irritation lacing his words as Jackson yanked Taeyong closer to him.
"Can’t you see you’re scaring her? If you keep this up, my entire plan will be ruined! And don’t you dare act like you’re in charge again!" Minho shot back, rolling his eyes before striding out of the room, casting a playful wink at Taeyong as he went.
Just then, Taeyong's father interjected, his voice steady yet strained. "Sir, please let her go. She has nothing to do with—"
But Jackson cut him off, his voice a thunderous growl. "What do you mean she has nothing to do with this? She’s the only one who can fix everything, especially when it comes to Jeon Jungkook!" His anger crackled in the air, palpable and fierce.
"What’s happening here?" Taeyong asked, her patience wearing thin, annoyance bubbling beneath the surface.
Her father stood frozen, guilt etched across his features, unable to find the words. Jackson leaned down, his expression softening slightly as he met Taeyong's gaze. "Everything will be alright, unless..." His voice trailed off ominously as he gripped her chin with a force that made her wince, a sharp hiss escaping her lips.
Taeyong's gaze burned with fury as it locked onto Jackson's. "What do you want, you idiot?" she spat, her voice laced with venom, causing him to grip her delicate cheeks with a fierce intensity.
"Are we pretending to be clueless, or are you genuinely lost?" Jackson taunted, his face inching closer, a smirk playing on his lips.
Just then, Taeyong's father burst into the scene. "She’s completely in the dark," Jackson replied, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
"Too precious to be harmed!" Taeyong's frustration reached its peak. Her body betrayed her, and the world around her faded into darkness. Yet, her mind remained acutely aware as Jackson lifted her and carried her away to another room.
Meanwhile, in the confines of Taeyong's home, Jungkook was on the brink of losing control. In a fit of rage, he shattered a mirror, his fists striking the shards repeatedly, tearing into his own flesh. Jin intervened, grabbing his arm to stop the madness.
"Do you realize that all you're doing is wrecking things? It won’t change a thing for you," Jin remarked, and in that instant, Jungkook's wounds healed, leaving no trace behind.
"What the hell are we waiting for?" Jungkook shot back, his eyes blazing as he glared at Jin.
"Unlike you, I have a strategy in place to ensure we have backup instead of falling victim to Jackson and his crew," Jin declared, turning on his heel and striding away.
"Should we inform her brother about this?" Jimin inquired, the room falling into a heavy silence.
With a resigned sigh, Jungkook made his choice. "I’ll handle it. You all get ready." He stepped outside, steeling himself for the call ahead. After two rings, a voice answered.
"Hello?"
"Jungkook, Mark my words, you’re dead once we find Taeyong and ensure her safety. I’m on my way to your place, so get out now." The line went dead, and Jungkook swallowed hard before returning to the others with the news.
