Three weeks had passed at Hogwarts, and before she knew it, Lily was had hopped off of the train for the Easter holiday.

After saying goodbye to Rudolph as he ran to meet up with his parents on the other side of the wall, Lily and Hugo walked over to their family and were greeted with familiar hugs and laughter, which gave both of them comfort and a sense of belonging.

“Is your friend Eli going to be staying with us again?” Lily’s mother asked after she had given her a welcoming hug.

Lily shook her head, “He decided to stay back at Hogwarts for this break. It was just Hugo, Rudolph, and me on the train this time.”

No matter how hard she had tried to convince him to stay with her and her family, Eli refused and stayed back at Hogwarts. He said that he felt like he was intruding.

“That’s fine although do remind him that he’s welcome with our family anything,” she responded before Lily ran to greet her dad.

“Lily!” he smiled, hugging her tightly before letting her go quickly. “We’ve got to hurry up now before the Floo Network gets to crowded. We’re going to Shell Cottage for the holiday.

During the Easter Holiday, the Weasley-Potter clan had made a tradition of spending time out at the family cottage, which once was a safe house for the Order of the Phoenix.

“Dad,” Lily began, “would I be able to go to Diagon Alley during break? I really need to buy some new books.”

She wanted to purchase some Greek books. She swore to herself that she would translate Neoma’s Trance over this week off of school if it was the last thing that she ever did.

“Well, your mother and I have already gotten you some books for Easter,” her dad answered.

Lily shook her head, “Not those types of books. I need something very specific.”

“You sound like your Aunt Hermione,” her mother laughed.

“She’s exactly like Aunt Hermione,” James piped up, now dragging along both his and Lily’s trunks. “She is such a brainiac; she and Rosie are one in the same! You should see her at school; when she’s not studying in the library, she’s doing the next month’s homework in the common room.”

Lily stuck her tongue out at James childishly, and he responded with his signature smirk.

“Is this book for a class?” her dad asked, leading them over to the Floo Network station at the end of the Platform and breaking up what could’ve been a sibling argument..

“Of course,” Lily lied, now hoping that her dad wouldn’t be there with her when she bought the Greek books she needed. She wouldn’t want to draw any of his suspicions.

“We can go after we get settled at Shell Cottage, Lil,” her dad promised as the got in line for the next hearth. “We’ve got the entire day ahead of us; hopefully, you slept on the way here.”

“Princess,” James scoffed, earning a snuffed laugh from Al.

“Weakness,” their mom coughed into her arm just loud enough to be heard. This earned laughter from everyone.

It was true, and Lily knew it. Her dad may have battled Voldemort and survived the Killing Curse twice, but his one weakness was his eleven year old daughter. Lily knew it was because of her likeness to her dad’s mom, and as much as she loved her Weasley brown eyes, Lily couldn’t wait until she was old enough to transfigure them into becoming Lily Evans green forever.
