Unreasonable

Evan's POV

  I leave Geni's house dreading coming home to my father's sly smirks. Ever since I was 13 he's pressured me to date the dirtiest girls at my school. The ones who lost their virginity at 12. I don't know why he's that way. I wish things were different, but that's the way he's always been. Just because that's the way he was at my age doesn't mean I have to be that way. Sometimes I wonder how he ended up with a girl like my mom. Good thing that Harry Potter marathon killed all that time so I could avoid coming home to him, but I hope all that time I spent at Geniveve's doesn't give him the wrong idea. As I unlock the front door to my house, dad is sitting at his usual spot on the couch waiting to interagate me.

  "So, how was it?" he asks a sly smirk finding its way on his face.

  "It was fine," I mumble knowing what he's really asking.

  "It sure did take awhile," he says winking.

  "Mm hmm"I grumble, still avoiding the real conversation.

  " Was she good ?" he smirks once again. That was enough to set me off.

  "Why do you assume that I have sex with every girl around." I yell, throwing him off guard.

  Not giving him time to answer I yell " You want to know what we did? We watched Harry Potter and held hands, we ate popcorn, and then I kissed her goodbye. That's it, no sex there's never any sex. You want to know something dad? I'm a virgin, and will be until I get married to the girl I love, It's not in your control!!!!!!"

He looks shocked as I stick up for Geni and myself. I finally feel free of my burden, and I know that I can bring Geni over to my house to meet my mom.
