Chapter 8

Back at Duel Academy...

Jesse runs through the hallways as he sees that everything surrounds him was disappearing right in front of his eyes. 

"What is going on?" He thought in his mind, "Does it have to do with Rainbow Dragon disappeared with that mysterious duelist?" 

The students are scared of the situation, but he knew that he have to keep a positive attitude for them. 

"Just keep calm! I know it's scary, but I know that everything would be fine!" He said, trying to calm the crowd. 

That was when Ruby came besides him and tell him something that shocked him the most. 

"She is in a what?!? Jemma... what you doing?" He mumbles as he looks at the black dust sky consuming the school and the existence. 

Back at New  Domino City

The people was looking at the city from the distance. Team 5ds was worried about the condition. 

"I hope that Yusei is all right." Luna said, worried about the Signer. 

That was when Crow said, "Yusei would be just fine, he always does. I know that he's in a tough duel right now, along with that mysterious girl duelist. 

They are doing everything they can to save their eras in time.  

Yusei will win, I'm sure of it. He has one thing that Paradox doesn't have or skill in Duel Monsters : Having friends by their side. 

Yusei! We believe in you!" 

Yusei

As the girl, Yugi , Jaden and I look at the massive new monster, I couldn't believe that Paradox was able to pull off something like that. 

Jaden said, "I have seen a lot of things in my day, but this really takes the cake." 

The girl said, putting her hands to her hips, "I still can't believe that Paradox actually fused half of his life points to fuse himself with a monster! 

It definitely not cool , especially in a duel. It doesn't seem like Paradox doesn't want us to win , that's for sure." 

Even I have my suspious, the duelist is actually related to Jaden, that is how she was able to use Fusion type styles, and she seems to know a lot about Duel Academy. 

Even though she's risking everything on the line for this duel, I really don't want her to regret it any other way. 

Paradox exclaims, "I am not finished yet. I play "Malefic Selector" . It allows me to remove two monsters I have in my field, so I remove Malefic Parallel Gear and Malefic End Dragon to summon two new monsters on the field!" 

The girl was surprised of this move, "You destroyed both of your monsters to summon new ones?!?"

Yugi said, "What you want, Paradox?"

"This move allows me to summon both Malefic Blue -Eyes Dragon and Malefic Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" 

Both monsters appears as the girl was totally mesmerized of the massive dragons before her while Yugi seems to be shocked. 

"Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes?!?" He exclaimed. 

Yugi

I couldn't believe my eyes! Paradox has managed to get Joey's Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon?!?

Paradox really get me on my nerves. The girl said, finally out of the enchantment of seeing both dragons , "Yugi! Be careful!" 

Paradox said, "Malefic Red-Eyes, attack Dark Magician Girl!" 

I groan from the attack , as the girl exclaims, "Yugi!" 

Jaden said, "Talk to us, pal!" 

I stand up, "I'll be fine, guys, don't worry about me." 

Jemma

I couldn't believe that Yugi got attack by Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and according to the history books, that monster was owned by Joey Wheeler, Yugi's best friend and rival. 

Paradox seems to be pleased with it . 

"Just FYI, Malefic Truth Dragon ability activates! If one monster was destroyed, all the other monsters on the field will be destroyed as well!" 

Dad said, pulling out his facedown card from earlier, "I activate De-Fusion, which allows Elemental Heroes Knight to my extra deck, and allows Junk Gardena and Elemental Hero Neos back to the field!

Yusei, you're up!" 

Yusei exclaimed, "I activate Junk Gardena's ability, which allows me to switch Malefic Red-Eyes to defense mode, so we don't get attacked!" 

The monster was switched, just like Yusei said, which gave me a sigh of total relief, and I said, "That was totally close , definitely way too close. 

Ok, my turn, I activate the spell, Miracle Fusion! It allows me to summon an Elemental Hero from my graveyard to my hand, and I will summon it right now!

I summon Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman!" 

Yubel slides over to me, "Nicely done, Jemma. You used your cards when you needed it the most." 

I rubbed my head , "Well, it's all thanks to Dad to coaching me all these tactics. When I get back to my timeline, I will personally thank him later." 

 Dad was amazed of my skills as he gave me a thumbs up, "Way to play, mystery girl!" 

I thought, "Gee, that's a compliment from Dad, well, at least that's something. " 

Yusei exclaims, "I never seen this monster before." 

"Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman. It's a Level 8 monster and he has 2500 ATK." I explain to him about the monster I had in my deck. 

Jaden

I was impressed by her. It seems like Jemma really does know her dueling style. 

Yusei yells, "Not so fast! I activate Stardust Dragon's effect to dismiss the attack!" The monster was destroyed. 

The girl beams, "Yeah! Way to go!" But Paradox said, "I activate Mystic Truth Dragon's other effect! 

It allows to destroy all the monsters on the field all at once!" 

The girl flexes in anger as we were pulled towards the other side of the field as I catch her by the shoulders. 

The feeling felt familiar, too familiar as she said, "I can't believe he did that. Man, I thought I had him for sure!" 

Yusei said, "It couldn't be helped. But you seemed so determined for that calling out that monster just now. It took a lot of courage for that. " 

She said, seemed to be admired of his saying to her. "Gee, thanks, Yusei. " 

It seems like I do know her, but from where, which timeline she has travelled from?

Ever since the duel has started, she seems focused on the duel more than ever, and she looks at me for advice somehow, does it really mean that she knows me?

Jaden, snap out of it! 

The mystery girl seems to look at me, "Well, Jaden, do you have any idea here?" 

"Yeah, but will you at least tell me something. You seem to see Spirits as well as I do. Care to explain why?" 

The girl said, "This is not the time to explain, Jad!" 

But it is still curious . I really want to know who her identity is, and why she went through all this trouble, to travel through time.
