"MINA! MINA!"

The hunters waltzed into the hallway, hearing the male they'd kept captive screaming frantically. They looked at him, he was panting and sweating, eyes wild.

"What's the racket?" The one spat, examining her nails.

"Please, she hasn't got a heartbeat! It's my fault, we were planning to escape and she- she stopped breathing and her body was too weak- HELP HER!" He screamed, rattling the bars and ignoring the burning of the wolfsbane on his hands. He was used to it.

The pair of hunters eyed each other and went over to Mina's cell, peeking over and seeing Mina sprawled out on the floor, good as dead. She was pale, worn out and her face was turning purple.

"Gross." The female hunter cringed and the male one nudged her.

"Go get her, the boss won't be happy about this." The male hunter ordered, his eyes glinting with frustration.

The female one glanced at him sideways, "what if it's a trap?"

The male rolled his eyes, "he just admitted to trying to plan an escape, obviously it's not a trap."

The female looked skeptical, but she glanced at he male werewolf inside the cell who looked close to tears as he pounded the bars. She shrugged as she unhooked the keys from her belt and unlocked the bars to Mina's cell, bringing out her dagger from her pocket.

"What's that for? She's dead! And even if she's alive she'll be practically human from the wolfsbane." The male one snorted at the female hunter, crossing his arms as he watched her flip him off but continued to hold her dagger.

"Shall I feel for a pulse first? I don't want to be the one to tell the boss she's dead." The female hunter said, getting slowly closer to Mina with a cautious expression.

"Good idea, just make it quick." The man said, going over to tell the male werewolf in the cell to shut up as he was rattling the bars.

The woman nodded as she reached down slowly, as if scared of waking up the dead girl. She finally reached her neck, moving down to find her pulse. At first she couldn't feel anything and she was half scared and half relieved.

But then-

Her pulse was pounding in her neck and the hunter didn't have time to pull away, or even gasp, as Mina's purple eyes flew open and she clamped her hand around the hunter's neck. She gave a quiet snarl as she slashed and the girl's throat lay on the floor beside her.

The man hunter shouted; "what the fuck-" and went to pull out his own weapon when Mina charged into him and ripped a chunk of his shoulder out with her canines. Now that she was breathing, she felt her abilities going away and a headache formed. But she snapped the screaming hunter's neck in time before she almost collapsed.

"YES MINA!" The male werewolf cheered, banging his bars in happiness.

Mina smiled and pulled herself back into her own cell, quickly grabbing the keys off of the dead female hunter to unlock the male werewolf's cell. She stopped in front of him, drinking in his appearance as it's the first time she's been able to put a voice to a face.

He seemed to feel the same as he looked her up and down, not focusing long on her body as she was in her underwear, as was he. She cleared her throat as she began unlocking his cell, hissing at the contact of the wolfsbane, her cheeks flushing red from seeing the male's toned body.

"You're my saviour." He whispered with a small, broken smile as the bars opened.

They stared at each before rushing to each other, encompassing one another in a bone crushing hug. Weeks of speaking to each other, comforting each other when the other healing, getting to know each other, sharing jokes and optimism, making this plan together.

She pulled away, smiling slightly, and trying to ignore the feel of his muscular body. "Come on, let's get out of here before any more hunters come down."

He nodded and before she could take off her grabbed her wrist, "by the way... my name is Jaebum."

She smiled wider and took his hand in hers, giving it a tight squeeze as they ran off into the opposite direction of where the hunters come from. She figured that if these were catacombs, there must be another way out, and she was willing to be it was far enough away that they'd be well away from any hunters when they came up.

They ran and ran and ran, turning different directions, ignoring the smell of old blood and dirtiness as everything got darker and darker. Eventually, after about an hour, they stopped to take a break as they couldn't hear another hunter's behind them. Their werewolf senses were back and Mina felt her skin tingle, meaning there was a full moon out.

"You feel it too?" Jaebum muttered, sitting and leaning against the wall as he caught his breath.

She nodded, "full moon."

Just then a cold feeling washed over Mina and she shivered, blinking, as if a cold breeze had come from somewhere. But there was nowhere it could've come from. She looked at Jaebum and his eyes were wide, he must've felt it too.

But then she realised his eyes were staring at her, they were staring behind her. He growled lowly, red eyes flashing as he stood to his feet and glared at whatever was behind Mina.

She breathed in, trying to catch a scent, but whoever was standing close behind her didn't have a scent. However, a familiar feeling washed over her, as if she knew who stood there.

She whirled, coming face to face with someone she least expected to see.
