i honestly have been thinking about
an imagine like this for a while.
[slightly au!]
"hey y/n, you look comfy. you kind of remind me of my twenty year old brother, the one who sits on his ass all day." you rolled your eyes at head cheerleader, macey, and her comment while she laughed along with her minions."and? what do you want me to look like?"
"i don't know, maybe loose the sweatpants and try jeans for once." she giggled, looking you up and down, before walking away.
"don't listen to them babe." you looked at lucas who was placing his books into his locker, and smiled.
"come on, let's get to class." he walked you to class before heading to his own classroom.
even after what he told you, not to worry about what macey said, you couldn't stop thinking about it. she practically said the same thing to you everyday, and maybe she was right.
every other girl at your high school dressed with jeans, dresses, shorts, or skirts. the only time they put sweatpants on was during gym class and exam weeks.
you tapped your pen against your notebook, thinking about what you might want to change about your look. the bell rang and you got up from your seat, walking into the crowded hallway and looking at every girl that passed. they all seemed to dress kind of the same, crop tops and denim shorts, a flannel here and there.
"hey y/n."
"oh, hey amybeth." you smiled, greeting your grinning friend. she wore a cropped tank top with a caramel cardigan and light washed jeans.
"so, i was thinking maybe we could head to the coffee house. now that the day has ended." she said while groaning.
"sure. i could always use a frappe."
"great."
the two of you headed towards the coffee house, a local cafe pretty close to your school, ordering your drinks and taking a seat at one of the tables.
"i almost forgot to ask you, do you have a partner for mr.collin's class project?" amybeth sipped from her iced coffee while doodling in her notebook.
"uhm, no actually. not yet at least."
"do you?" she shook her head no at your question before shooting her head up and smiling from ear to ear.
"let's be partners! i'll write the facts and you can draw the pictures!" you nodded at her, smiling as well.
after talking for a little longer you and amybeth decided to both head home, opposite directions of each other.
"i wish we could hang out some more!" amybeth sighed.
your face brightened up, "i mean, it's not that late, i was actually thinking of heading to the mall real quick to buy some things. maybe you want to come with?"
"of course!" she exclaimed as she pulled her phone out of her pocket, "let me call my mom super quick and tell her." you nodded, beginning to walk with her towards the bus stop to wait for the bus.
shopping with amybeth turned out to be a success, even though she was shopping for herself.
you grinned while looking at the outfits you had bought, and decided on which one you should wear for school tomorrow.

the sound of your alarm woke you up, the sunlight coming in through your blinds and brightening up the peach painted walls in the room.
you rubbed your eyes and grabbed your cell phone, checking the time, 7:13 am. school started at 8:00am, which gave you enough time to get ready.
hopping out of bed you walked towards the kitchen and made yourself a cup of tea and some toast, brushed your teeth, finished your natural makeup look, which was actually more than natural, and did your hair.
everything was still very simple, and now it was time for your outfit. you put on the white crop top, that expose your belly button, and your ripped, denim jeans.
you walked down stairs with your backpack slung over your shoulders, and put on your shoes before walking out the door.
you made your way to school, finally getting there in about ten minutes and walking through the doors.
"y/n! you look great."
"thanks, macey." you forced a smile on your face walking away from macey before she could say anything else.
walking through the halls you got several looks and compliments.
you spotted lucas at his locker, he looked over at you as you approached him. he immediately pulled out the hoodie he had just thrown into his locker and walked towards you.
"y/n, you look cold. take my hoodie." he exclaimed, putting the hoodie around your shoulders and looking around at all the guys whose eyes were on you.
"what? no i'm fine." you giggled, removing the hoodie from your shoulders and turning to face him.
"well, uhm, why are you wearing this exactly?" he asked as he gestured at your outfit.
"i just though, maybe, it was time for a little change." you smiled.
his eyebrows furrowed together.
"but," he pulled your hand towards his locker "y/n/n, this isn't a little change. you changed everything about yourself, this isn't you."
you frowned a little, realizing he was right.
"i mean, you could've worn a t-shirt or something." he shrugged.
"i'm pretty sure some guy broke up with their girlfriend just so he could stare at you."
you looked him in the eyes. taking his hoodie from his hands you put it on, zipping it up halfway.
"you're totally right, i feel like i'm being violated right now." you chuckled, grabbing his hand in yours and smiling at him.
he closed his locker while he chuckled, "you also look way cuter wearing my hoodie." he said grabbing the fabric of the hoodie you had on as the two of you began walking down the hallway.
"it is pretty comfortable." you smiled at him again, kissing his cheek.
