until the twinkling lights up in the sky
and the soles of your shoes and the souls of your past are intertwined in the earth
and all you can feel is the deep empty silence
as every inch of your body tells you to stop
and turn around and run back home
but you keep running and do not stop
because you are so close to a place you do not know
and you will keep running and will not stop
until the sense of fear of the unknown is far behind your tracks
so keep running and do not stop
because the sky has not fallen, the oceans have not calmed, the sun has not dimmed, the world is not at peace
and you are not at peace, nor will you ever be at peace
unless you keep running and do not stop.
