Chapter Seven

Tylaa

[One Month Later]

It's been one month since I was hired by Dequan and since he kissed me. That kiss . . . I felt so much passion and euphoria. I didn't tell Jordan or even Delilah. I had no friends to run and tell and I couldn't say anything to my darling, Diamond, because she'd repeat.

Being guilty is not the best feeling in a relationship. The whole month I've been working for Dequan, I've felt guilty. I'd actually been avoiding him and it seems as though Jordan had been avoiding me.

He's been very distant lately and so has Cashmere. I really didn't mind Cashmere being distant, but it was just a big change since he loves Diamond to death. I sighed.

I watched as young and old walked into mine and Dequan's building. We called it INSPIRE. I didn't really like the name, but I didn't invest in all of these things either. I thought about money. So far I was getting one grand every two weeks, so life is good, but I kind of wanted to know where Quan got all of this money from. I hope he wasn't doing drugs. I really hope so!

At the thought of him, his assistant, Monica, walked into my office. I had no clue why she was here. I didn't like the girl one bit! She was sort of like Chelsy from WMA (Walls Model Agency). All she did was suck up and flirt with Dequan. She'd told me many times that I was jealous, but that wasn't the case. She was jealous of me. Not only had Jordan noticed, but Monica and I had also noticed the gazes that Quan was giving me. They weren't so slick anymore and she envied that. She also wanted my postition, because she had a high title, but not a high pay. I was a force to reckon with and she hated it.

I looked up from my desktop computer to meet her cold stare. "Yes," I said giving her a fake, pastry smile. "Mr. Perry needs you," she said rolling her eyes. I nodded. I turned my computer off and grabbed my keys. I walked past her and then looked at her. "Out please," I said politely. She scoffed and clicked her heels out. I locked my door. I don't trust these people around here.

I walked towards Dequan's office. I watched as more young and old entered the different classes. I smiled at the dream that was now reality. It seemed like just yesterday Quan, Ly, and I were out in the yard dancing and acting like actresses and actors. Now, we were really doing that. Well, at least Quan and I were.

Until Diamond can get into Preschool, Ly will be watching her. After she's done with that, if she's not to busy with Lenny (her boyfriend), then Dequan is planning on firing Monica and giving her position up to Ly.

I walked past many ladies who were walking around in high heels. I didn't see the point. If I worked a class for models, I would've worn heels, but if I'm just a assistant or a dance teacher, flats or sneakers will do.

I finally reached Quan's office and I knocked. "Come in," he said. I walked in and looked at his office. I hadn't been in here since my first tour around the whole building. It was really nice. Everything was neat and sportsy. I nodded my head. "This is nice," I spoke.

He looked up and smiled at me. He wore Ray Bans and his fit included: sweatpants, a Versace shirt, and some type of fancy J's. I watched him as he stood up. "Close the door," he said and then he walked around his desk and sat on it. I closed the door as he commanded and then I sat in a chair that was in front of his desk. He was sitting across from me, but on the desk.
