Awkwardness. I've never really understood what it is. What its meaning is compared to the other types of situations in conversations, the "feel of a room." Other types of situations are joy, sadness, cafeteria talk, etc. This reminds me of other things in the world that don't really have much meaning but is still a big part of it. For example, why have many different brands for the same product if the quality is neither better or worse? Why buy books if you can just borrow them from a library? Why did I even make this book if there are many other deep-thought books that are better made and in all much more entertaining? Well, it may be because they have no fundamental meaning that we give them meaning. We may choose the specific brand from the other because the other brand's service is horrible. People may prefer to buy books because they won't have to worry about due dates and get to read at whatever pace they like. You may have chosen this book because of its weird format and unusual style of narrative. In all, it just boils down to people's preference and the additional qualities of something that doesn't have a fundamental meaning. Which takes me back to the first question. What is the situation of awkwardness' meaning?
