Once you got into the coffee shop Chan asked you what you want.
"I actually don't really drink coffee.." You were waiting for Chan to freak out but he just smiled.
"Hot chocolate?" His amazing smile came out again.
"Yes please." You had a dilemma at that time, do you go find a seat for you two or do you wait with him. Before you could chose Chan put his hand around your waist and ran his other hand through his hair. lucky he was holding you up because you were ready to melt right there and right then.
While Chan was ordering you slipped away from his grip and went and found a table near the window, but also close enough to the fire place that you wouldn't freeze, it was around 5:15pm and the sun had set making it freezing where you lived.
You sat in the chair closest to the fire, you slip your phone out your pocket and was about to check your notifications when you realised, you had no data. Before slipping your phone back into your pocket you took a glance over at Chan and noticed how cute he looked, so you sneaked a photo. It wasn't that creepy right? You'd tell him about it later, plus you needed another photo of him since he was going to Korea soon. Before you could think anymore you got a text from your mum.
MUM <3
Hey sweetie, just checking in. Hopefully everything is going okay ;) let me know if you need me to come pick you up later.
Yeah everything's going fine, were at the coffee shop in town now, i'm not sure much longer we'll be, probably not too much later.
Just as long as you both are safe, and don't forget you have to tell me EVERYTHING later! love you x
"Everything okay?" You heard a familiar voice say. You look up to see Chan holding his coffee and your hot chocolate.
"Yep, super dooper." Wow you felt a bit stupid for saying that.
"Glad i'm not the only one who says random stuff sometimes." Chan laughed and sat in the seat across from you, handing you your hot chocolate.
"Hey thanks for all of this.." You began taking a sip of your chocolate, then regretting it 2 seconds later because it was too hot.
"No problem, after all i'm just paying you back for spilling coffee on your shirt, i'm still really sorry about that.
"It's fine." You said, as you both sat in silence drinking your drink for what seemed to be forever, which was probably only a minute, your mind began to wonder.
This was all only payback for what happened? Does he like me at all? This is only a one time thing right. You guys are just friends, well now. Did he want his jumper back? And so many other thoughts crossed your mind but Chan decided to spark up conversation.
"So tell me about yourself." He asked sipping his coffee.
"Well, umm, what do you want to know? I'm not very exciting, well compared to you from what i can tell."
"Anything," He thought for a second. "When's your birthday?"
"8th of May, how about you?"
"October 3rd."
"oh wow that's not far off now, are you going to be in Korea for your birthday?" You felt like this was an okay way to bring up Korea again.
"At this point i don't know, i'm only allowed to come back to Australia when i have free time."
"Allowed?" You questioned.
"Don't worry about it. Do you have any hobbies?" Chan took another sip of his coffee waiting for you to answer, you wanted to say the atmosphere was the same as before, but at this moment it was a bit heavy, Chan really didn't want to talk about his life in Korea.
"I draw and listen to music, if they count."
"Yeah, of course they do, what do you draw?"
"Well i don't draw much anymore because of school, but i did draw portraits."
"That's really cool, were you any good?"
"I don't know, i use to have Instagram that i posted on, but it was all Kpop, so if you don't want to see that i suggest not looking at it." You awkwardly laugh trying to make it seem less 'cringe' than it was.
"Just send me some stuff when you get home, it'll be cool." Chan smiled, the atmosphere had definitely lifted again, which made you happy.
You and Chan sat there for about another half an hour as you both finished you drinks, you talked a bit about school, and your lack of knowing what you want to do after. Chan tried to help you a little bit by discussing some choices that would be cool, but like everyone else, you just hadn't found that thing you knew you wanted to do.
"Hey i really don't want to leave but, i should really be getting home."
"Yeah it is getting late huh." Chan checked his phone and saw that it was 6:15pm. "I'll walk you home." He said standing up and holding his hand out for you to grab on to.
"You don't have to, it's like a 20 minute walk and my mum can come pick me up. Not to mention you probably live in the other direction." You grab onto Chan's hand ad hoist yourself up out of the chair.
"I'll walk you it's no problem, i'll just get my friend to come pick me up, i can't leave you alone in the dark where another stranger could spill coffee on you."
As Chan began to walk you home many questions began to arise in your mind, but you felt like now wasn't the time to ask him, after all you're probably never going to see him again. About 10 minutes into your walk home Chan slipped his hand into yours again.
"Safety first."
Looking over at Chan you noticed how his eyes gleamed in the moonlight. You couldn't see every detail on him, your eyes were fuzzed in the dark, almost like a polarised camera. Then it hit you. You might be getting feelings for Chan.
"Shit." You whispered aloud.
"What?" Chan squeezed your hand.
"Nothing, don't worry, just remembered some homework i have to do." You tried to come up with some believable excuse, which seemed to work.
"Oh eww," Chan whined. "You can do that later." He ended with a little laugh, you started to notice how cute you found this.
"Yeah i will." You squeezed his hand back.
