Jungkook felt like he was on the verge of a mental breakdown. He held up the white shirt against his chest, then switched to the black one. They were both in the exact same style but were just different colours. He couldn't figure out which one looked better. They both seemed to go with his outfit that was currently just ripped black skinny jeans and a pair of black lace up boots.
"Are you ready to go?" Tae asked as he walked into the bedroom, pulling on his coat.
Upon catching sight of Jungkook standing in front of the full-length mirror, shirtless and holding two shirts in his hands, he realised the boy was in fact not ready to go. Tae walked over, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's slim waist from behind.
"The white one," he mumbled as he moved the white shirt in front of his boyfriend.
"But I always wear white," Jungkook then moved the black one in front of himself again.
"And you always look good in it," Tae smiled, pressing a quick kiss in the crook of Jungkook's neck before walking back and falling against the bed.
Meanwhile, Jungkook hurriedly tugged on the white shirt before rushing over to the closet, pulling it open to find a jumper to wear. He rummaged through the clothes before opening the draw beneath that one, finally deciding on a simple black bomber jacket. Fixing his hair in the mirror, Jungkook finally announced that he was ready to go.
Tae sat up on the bed and slowly raked his eyes up and down Jungkook, "we could just stay in."
Jungkook lightly blushed and gently hit the boy in the chest, "come on, or else we'll be late."
"I can be fast," Tae winked as he stood up, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's waist and pulling the boy against him. He pressed a soft kiss against the tip of the boy's nose, unable to contain his smile at the light pink that was brushed across the apples of his boyfriend's cheeks.
"Later," Jungkook mumbled as he hooked his finger into the waistband of Tae's jeans, returning the kiss to the older boy's cheek. Jungkook then stepped back, putting his phone and wallet into his pockets before walking out of the bedroom, Taehyung following closely behind. The pair switched off the lights in the house, leaving only the kitchen one on before stepping outside and locking the front door behind them.
They were going on a date. It was to nowhere extravagant, just a simple restaurant in the city because that was how the both of them liked it. Nothing fancy, that stuff was too much effort.
Jungkook got into the passenger side of the car while Taehyung sat in the driver seat. They made small talk as they drove, talking mostly about how work has been. Jungkook was especially interested in photography and if not for their unaligned work schedules, then Jungkook would come watch Taehyung's shoots. He sometimes used Tae's camera, taking pictures mostly of their slowly growing garden.
Jungkook didn't know, but Taehyung had been saving all the pictures he took and had secretly been putting together a photo album, planning to give it to him on their second-year anniversary - it was coming up in just two weeks.
When they arrived at the restaurant, the two sat down at their reserved table and began scanning through the menu.
It was when they were halfway through their meal that Jungkook finally asked the question that had been on his mind a lot lately.
"So, I've just been thinking . . ." the boy twirled his spaghetti around his fork, "what do you think about kids?"
It was a topic the two usually actively avoided, mostly because of how their relationship started and currently was. They were fuckbuddies, initially without feelings but that had clearly changed. But being in an official relationship hadn't changed their sex lives, in fact it only made it better because now they were together more often. Having something permanently around that would change, potentially even ruin the hot passion of their relationship wasn't particularly appealing at the moment.
Until now, when Jungkook had started daydreaming about the future after seeing all these families while he was at work.
"I'm not saying I want kids right now," Jungkook quickly added on, not wanting to pass on the wrong idea.
Taehyung tilted his head to the side, "but you want kids in the future?"
"Maybe," Jungkook shrugged his shoulders and continued twirling his spaghetti until it unravelled from around his fork.
"With me?"
Jungkook looked up to Taehyung, heart skipping a beat at the sparkling look in his eyes. Taehyung always had that sweet effect on him, it was something he almost craved.
"Yeah, well, who else?" Jungkook breathily laughed, starting to get nervous. Maybe he shouldn't have brought up the topic . . .
Taehyung leaned back in his seat for a moment, thinking about a future where he had children of his own. A future where he was married to Jungkook. He played out a little scene in his head. He and Jungkook were in bed, the morning sun streaking through the open curtains. It was quiet for a minute before someone intruded. A little girl, giggling as she climbed onto the bed and jumped until her daddies were awake. Jungkook would scoop her up in his arms, cuddling her tightly while Tae tortured her with tickles and that sweet giggle would fill the room.
A smile came over his lips.
That seemed nice. Starting a family with the man across from him, it seemed really nice.
"Yeah, I love kids," Tae said as he leaned forward in his seat, reaching across the table to hold Jungkook's hand in his.
"Just not now though," Jungkook repeated, wanting to make sure that he was clear about not being ready at the moment. Maybe in another two or three years.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you," Tae gently hit himself in the side of the head as he suddenly remembered.
"What?"
"You look so handsome tonight."
That beautiful blush brushed across Jungkook's cheeks yet again.
this is a really boring chap, sorry ;-;
