Naruto's POV

It was past midnight and I couldn't sleep, "Ugh...Naruto why can't you sleep?!" I screamed inside.

I wonder if Temari's asleep? Yeah, she's always punctual...

"How about a midnight snack"

I carried myself up and went to the second floor. I tried my best to not make any sound, but I instantly failed.

CREEEEAAAAK.."Oh Kami"

I hopped to the kitchen to see the food in the fridge. "Milk, oh an apple"

I grabbed both the apple and milk. I bite the apple and appreciated I am able to eat solid food. I haven't eaten anything except ramen for days."

Then I drank the open carton of milk lying in the fridge. GULP, GULP, GULP.

"Ahh...now let's rest tummy!" I accidentally shouted.

Temari's POV

It's been hours with me lying in bed, nothing. I just can't bring myself to actually rest. Being sleep deprived at this situation is actually understandable, I guess? I mean, one of my brothers is at the hospital while the other is... I hope atleast safe. 

Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming here from downstairs.

It's probably just Naruto. Wait, Naruto? Maybe that's why he's always late.

The steps came closer and closer. Louder and louder. "Please leave me be, please leave me be, please leave me be" I internally screamed. 

Then I noticed it went pass my room, "Phew" I sighed letting the darkness get me but didn't work.

A few moments later the person went back downstairs which made me think.

"Was that Naruto...maybe...not? I hope it is. I don't want a thief in here."

I cleared my mind because of its current state, take me in. I want to sleep.

I went downstairs hoping for the best. "Oh it's just Naruto,"

"Temari?"

I rolled my eyes sensing the tension between us blondes. "We're you the one who went upstairs?"

He nodded in an instant, then I sighed. Naruto tried to break the awkwardness, "So um..you're still awake" he said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uhuh, it's quite obvious.." he sweatdropped hearing my reply. "So you're having trouble with sleeping too."

I nodded walking closer to him. "T-take a seat"

I sat down beside him finding a comfortable position. He just sat there making everything seem so heated.

"Want to... I don't know, talk?" my first attempt to get along with him in a long time. A very very long time.

He looked to the floor, "Y-yeah sure!"

I smirked seeing him try hard like this for the first time in a while. "What about though?" he asked. My response, "Anything"

He let out a deep breath before starting the conversation. "Remember the first time we met?" he studied my face and I studied his. "Of course I do..."
