"First, when and where was the last time you saw Sakura-chan?"
Kakashi only sighed at that. The last time he saw the pink-haired girl was yesterday.
"Yesterday." he replied
Shizune's hands moved as if she wrote it on the paper she was holding. Naruto's eyes did not falter and stared intently into Kakashi's
Kakashi was not used to the blonde's demeanor yet he understood. Naruto is only just concerned for her.
"Speak up, sensei." Naruto said
"I second that," added Temari
Kakashi sighed once again.
"Okay, so I saw her yesterday. Just by the Hokage tower, because we were assigned to a mission."
The knucklehead looked at Temari, then averted his gaze to Shizune. They were considering if Kakashi was lying or not. Then, Shizune wrote on her paper once again.
Naruto looked at the paper in his hand, "Next question, did Sakura tell you anything suspicious? Even like the smallest things like she was going somewhere or she feels this or that. Basically anything that she said."
Kakashi was thinking and showering in his thoughts. "She only said, okay Kakashi-sensei. Then proceeded to run away,"
"Run. Where to?" Temari asked
"I do not know."
Shizune wrote in the paper again.
"Do you think, there is any possibility Sakura-chan would betray the Leaf?"
Oh my. Kakashi thought. His pupil, to betray her home? Sounds unusual to his ears.
"No... I have faith she will not do that. Unless she has her reasons." Kakashi glanced at Temari after that statement. He saw her eyes furrow.
"Shizune-san, did you get that?" Naruto asked leaning onto his side to check on Shizune's writing. "Yes, Naruto-kun," she replied
"Last question, Kakashi-sensei."
"Okay." Kakashi smiled slightly under his mask
"Would you like to accompany us to Sakura-chan's house?" he said. Kakashi only sweats at that. "No, no, I mean, are you willing to accompany us to Sakura-chan's house?"
Kakashi took the time to give everyone a glance. Temari, who still looked as if she was in a foul mood. Naruto, who is a bit more serious than usual. And Shizune who did not spare him a glance and only gazed at the paper she was writing on.
"Sure why not," he said
"Okay..." Temari spoke up again "Additional question, by me. Do you think Sasuke has the guts to attack anyone from another village despite having no relation to war among his."
"Hmm, considering the possibilities. I think he would attack ninja from other villages. Even if it's for himself and not his village. Don't take it personally." Kakashi said because he was one to ponder on possibilities
Anything is possible, he thought.
"Okay, we're going to Sakura-chan's house. Right now." Naruto sat up his seat. Kakashi didn't budge from his, "O-oh right now?"
"Yes, Kakashi-kun. If we were going to find Sakura-chan, we should act fast," said Shizune as she sat up too
"Hurry up, jounin." Temari
The trio was by the door already and was ready to act. Ready to truly investigate.
"What the-" Temari said when she entered Sakura's room
She expected pink, posters on the wall, pictures of her family on a drawer. And all those stuff. Yet what she saw, surprised here. Actually, surprise is an understatement.
"Why are there so many tubes and fluids and... books?" Naruto said asking no one in particular
Both blonde's scanned the room. Despite having no experience in the field of medicine, they both knew it was not for her study of medicine. No.
Naruto stared into the black fluids inside the tubes. Sakura's room looked like a scientist's lab. An evil scientist's lab.
"No, I don't want to believe this," Naruto said under his voice. And yet Temari heard this nonetheless. "We're in the same room, I don't want to believe this either."
Temari was only waiting for Shizune and Kakashi to get a look at the room too. But for now, they were busy talking to Sakura's parents.
But she had no patience for such. "Shizune-chan! Can you walk up here for a second," she said rather loudly. She thought that Kakashi was mature enough to question the parents on his own while Shizune looked into Sakura's stuff further.
"Y-yes, Temari-sama?" Shizune's voice approached the room
"Oh my-"
Shizune went inside with Naruto and Temari and gazed at all the fluids. "What do you think these are Shizune-chan?"
"Uhh... umm..." Shizune stopped "I think these are for hypnotism. And umm... medicine for pain. Things like that. I've read in the library once that these are for slaves, for them to obey their masters."
Naruto and Temari only listened closely. Shizune picked up one of the tubes in her hands, yes she was, she was sure enough, it was medicine for hypnotism. She put the tube back and picked up another one, a blue fluid inside a clear tube. It glowed.
"W-what is that?" said Naruto
"This, what like I said earlier, medicine that brings pain. Mostly used for when people want their slaves to be obedient."
And Temari was trying to connect the dots. As Naruto and Shizune looked into the fluids further, Temari was only walking back and forth at the corner of Sakura's room.
She was thinking. She let her thoughts sink-in. Medicine for hypnotism. Medicine to bring slaves pain. Sasuke screaming. Sakura is missing. Sasuke possibly the one who attacked Gaara. What. What does it all mean?
"I..." Temari spoke up and stopped her pacing "I think this is what she used on Sasuke."
She didn't know why she thought so, it was a hypothesis. Temari thinks Sasuke has not interacted with evil forces lately, particularly the snake bastard. That's why she thought so with the information they have so far.
She may or may not be, correct.
"It's only a guess," she added
Shizune bit her lower lip and Naruto did not have a reaction.
"We're done here." Naruto forced a smile before leaving the room
"May I take these to Tsunade-sama?" asked Shizune. She was the most professional out of the three, "Yeah, sure." Temari replied
The two also left the room. They saw as Kakashi finished asking questions to the parents too.
"Thank you for letting us go to her room," Temari said out of politeness
"No, no, thank you, because you're trying to find our baby." Sakura's mom replied
"Ahh, we will be going," Kakashi said as he sat up his seat. He shook the hands of Sakura's parents and proceeded to walk out the door along with the rest of them.
"Where to next?" Kakashi asked
Naruto looked at Shizune's list and saw Sasuke's name. Temari also spared a glance at Shizune's list.
"Sasuke's." the two blonds said in a unison
"Alright." Kakashi replied
