Far warning, I wasn't kidding about how this would become a tragic end for Maine and the character that you have a role as in this story. Just fair warning there will be death in the end of this book.

Locker Room, Mother of Invention...
Maine's POV...

I was getting my gear on, readying for a fight. Sigma had me down on his leash and I couldn't break free as much as I wanted to. I noticed in the mirror that now I had a new tattoo on the back of my head, Sigma wanted to go through with his plan to become a full A.I.

[Now, Maine. Let's go find Missouri.] He said to me.

No! Not her, please! I begged of him. I didn't want her last moments to be of my hands harming her, I loved her to much. But Sigma had complete control over my body, clouding my thoughts with his own.

I watched as he used me walk out of the locker room just as excitement was beginning. Damnit, no! I thought to myself.

Your POV...

Me, Alaska, Mass, Arizona, and Montana heard the alarms go off. We had been boarded, by Texas's group of people. Mass and Alaska looked at one another in worry, they had to kill their own cousin, North. Mass especially didn't like that, she loves her cousins.

"We can try and spare him, sis." I heard Alaska say over to her trying to calm the troubled minded girl.

Arizona saw the worry in my actions, it was a worry for Maine. He had to be fine, safe, not corrupted by Sigma.

Then Carolina came over the radio and said. "Mass and Alaska, get your asses over to the bridge."

"Good luck you two." Montana said. "It has been an honor to serve you both."

"Agreed, you both are true people of honor and more warrior than I am." Arizona said.

"Be safe, Duelo. And God's speed." I said out loud.

Everyone looked at me in surprise, they never heard me speak but they knew it meant something if I did. My throat burned now, ugh! We said out farewells to them as they headed to where Carolina was.

The rest of us went looking for Maine, who was reported missing through all of the madness.

[I don't like this.] Grim said to me.

Neither do I. I replied to him.

The entire room was dark, we all had our flashlights on and were scanning the room for any signs of my beloved man in white and brown. Then we saw him but he was acting strange as Hell.

"Tyson?" I asked through sign.

He didn't respond but what I knew already was this wasn't the actions of Maine. It was the actions of Sigma, he pause complete control over Maine. He had been fighting Sigma for so long, guess Sigma was able to win.

"Go! Leave me and Maine to settle this!" I said through my own voice. My throat burned even worse, it hurt like Hell now. Arizona and Montana did as I said as they left me to try and save the man I loved.

I pulled out my two gravity hammers, and he pulled out his brute shot. I prayed silently, then ready myself to fight.

Please, be there still, Tyson. I thought to myself with sorrow.

Maine was the first one to fire, I dodged and went for a bit on his side, he moved with such ease. It definitely wasn't him, not even he could dodge my hammers. I swung for his head, but he grabbed the hammer and threw me into a wall. I saw that had removed one hammer out of my hands. I grabbed my other one, taking it into both hands.

Grim, active my armour ability now! I ordered to Grim who did as I asked as I saw everything slow down and I sped up using my rage that was hidden away to fuel my strength. I smashed the hammer right on Maine's shoulder. Maine went to a kneel, I went over and grabbed his helmet but when I tried to pull it off, he grabbed my left leg and threw me on to the ground.

"Well done, Agent Maine. Now finish her off." I heard the Director say over the comms. My eyes widened, the Director did this to the man I cared for the most.

I went to crawl away, hoping to hide but Maine merely grabbed me by my throat and lifted me up. I coughed and begged him for him not to do this, but I could tell he couldn't hear me. I said my last words to him in my own words. "I love you, Tyson."

Then I felt a surge of pain as he plowed the blade of his brute shot into my chest. My blood spilled on to the ground as he merely dropped me then I heard what sounded to be the real Maine, the Maine I knew crying as he growled in anger. "No! Why her?!"

My eyes were bloodshot as I took off my helmet one last time, blood spilled out of my mouth and nose. I smiled and closed my eyes only seeing him blue out into the darkness. I love him but not the...

Many years later...
Maine's POV...

I saw my life flash before my eyes as I was falling off the cliff into the cold sea, the same sea I threw Carolina into back in the Freelance. I saw her in the last flashes, her laughing, her crying, and her dying. (Y/n) was all I ever lived for before this happened to me, she was the light in my life.

Guess, she and I will finally be together again. I pulled out her dogtags, and held them to my chest as I whispered. "I love you to, (y/n)."

The last thing I remembered was her and I laying against a tree on a cold night with my jacket wrapped around her as we looked up at the stars. It was my favorite memory of her because she and I were able to get a nice long romantic scene together. I closed my eyes then everything went cold.

Yup, one heck of an ending sorry for the story being so short. Hoped you enjoyed it.
