The griever count dropped to one. The boss was the last of them. Firstly, we need to regroup. Lucas sends sonic to call the others. I keep staring at the barrier behind us. It looked so deceiving!
Time flies by. Shu's stomach growls as he groans, "Darn it! My poor tummy's crying for food."
Sarah smiles as she removes a basket from her inventory, "Good thing, I've made enough sandwiches for everyone."
"Sarah you're our saviour!", Shu shouts as he pounces on the basket.
"Hey! Leave some for me too!" I shout as I dig in too.
"Calm down! There's enough for anyone" Sarah shreaks.
Lucas laughs as he says, "You guys are so funny! Is your team always like this?"
Matthew laughs too as he says, "It's not even a week since we started out as a team, but I guess we are getting along a bit too well."
"Maybe a bit too well?" Carl says as he laughs.
"Lucas and Carl, aren't you gonna have some?" Sarah asks.
"Sure!" Lucas says as he takes a slice, followed by Carl.
We all sit down as we have our own share of sandwiches. Sarah removes a flask and a cup, and pours coffee in it.
"Sarah, do you want a slice?" Lucas asks, as he gets ready to give his share.
"Nope, this is enough for me", Sarah replies.
"Afterall, she's the coffee devil!" Shu laughs as he mocks Sarah.
Suddenly, a pair of legs land on Lucas head, throwing him down. I look up to see a light brown haired, slim guy with a bazooka, jumping off Lucas head as he lands on the ground.
He turns back at Lucas and says, "Hey Lu!"
Lucas gets up and shakes his head as he groans, "Why did you have to do that!"
We all look at him, stunned. Who the hell was he?!
He turns towards us as he says, "Oops, Sorry for the intrusion! I'm Preston by the way. And you must be the black Knights, right?"
"Yeah, and I'm Nuke. Nice to meet you Preston" I say as I shake his hand.
"Yup, I know who you all are. I'm kinda interested in you team actually" He says, grinning.
He waves at Shu, "Hey Shu!"
"Hi pres" Shu greets him.
Lucas asks Preston, "So where are the rest?"
"Oh, those snails must be on their way", Preston replies. Suddenly, a bullet hits Preston's feet, jumpscaring him. A girl jumps down, from a tree above him, as she glares at Preston, "And whom are you calling a snail exactly?"
"No-noone!" Preston shouts.
I look at her. Cyan hair, with metal clips and blue eyes.....wait, I know her!
"Audrey!" I shout, excitedly. She turns towards me, "Nuke? You're Nuke from sniper's dimensions aren't you?!"
"Yup, it is me", I say, smiling.
she walks to me and slaps. "Why did you quit the match?!"
"But I had a reason for it!" I say.
"And what's that?" She asks me with her eyebrow raised.
I scowl at Shu as I say, "Well, My brother overheated my gizmo." Shu backs away.
