Chapter 25- Start anew with a Birthday Party

Nearly three months has been passed by since clearing the city. All the emotional gaps start to close up and as for the Brazen Eagle's recruitment, two new members- Thelma and Tristan joined. Thelma's a water magic user while Tristan has the power of thunder.

Ever since then, a new ranking system had been introduced based on team contributions. The first was of course 'The Red dragons' followed by the brazen Eagles and then the Black Knights. Surprisingly, The brawlers with their new strategy, were promoted to the fourth followed by rest of the teams.

In these three months, the body shift between me and Ashlee kept continuing but was always random. After countless number of incidents, we decided to place forth few rules and regulations.

Audrey, Ashlee and I met up secretly and started to hone our skills to defeat Alex. Not only did Ashlee and I master our own strengths but also that of the other. We did it so that none of us might face problems ever again if we shift during a battle. Also, Ashlee got her own grimoire filled with healing spells and I acquired a new spell. The spell- 'Galwch ar yr eryr cryf am ei lygaid o fydiad -Call upon the mighty eagle for his eyes of magnification' and with that magic, I can see through walls and other objects. But as magnificent as it may seem, it has a huge drawback. The magic draws a lot of energy so I cannot use it for long.

Not a single day did we take a break during our rigid training, except for that one day...

"Nuke! Who long are you planning on sleeping?!" Amber squeals.

Sarah walks through the door as she says,"Why don't you let him sleep a bit longer? After all he's been waking up early in the mornings and working very har.."

Lucas snatches the crockery from Sarah as she shouts,"Sarah, why are you even here?! Go take rest for today!"

"But even I want to help. I feel like being confined on my own birthday" Sarah shrieks.

Uhuh, today's Sarah's birthday. Being in February, it's the first one in this year. And we decided to celebrate it grand, inviting everyone including the red dragons and the brazen Eagles.

A vaccum sounds is heard, as a maid appears shooing away Sarah from the scene, and that's Thelma. With her braided black hair hanging down her shoulders, she says, "Nuke, can you please move out? I have to clean your room."

"Shouldn't you be cleaning only the hall?" Matthew questions her.

"I wouldn't want the room to be shabby when guests appear" Thelma obediently answers

"Okay then, I'll do it myself!" I say.

"Why? Don't tell me... You have dirty magazines lying in here?" Thelma mocks me.

"Of course not!" I tell at her.

"Okay then, I'll go and clean the hall" she definitely came in here to pick up on me again.

I get up from my bed and freshen up. I get into the tub and take a long nice bath. On opening the wardrobe, I take out a neat, brushed suit. Yes, I've been waiting to wear this. After changing, I go to the mirror to comb my hair. With a dryer in my left hand and a comb in the right, I start to comb my fuzzy hair.

And after that, I walk out of my room to check on everybody else. The others have already changed to their outfits. Thelma, Ashley and the other girls are dressing the food while the boys are decorating the house. The only ones to be missing in the hall are Sarah, Lucas, amber and Ashlee.
