What if Jungkooks time is already over?

Hand in hand they sneak along the hallway. They are quite in front of the main door to the library when they hear a noise.

It's a low whistle around the corner. Jimin holds his index finger in front of his lips and peeks behind the wall.

There he sees a guard with a bagel in his left hand. Happily, he munches on the delicious bread while he keeps attention to robbers.

'Dammit. There is someone.' Jimin tells Taehyung in a low voice.
'Is there an alarm?' Taehyung asks and points to the doors which lead to the many shelves with hundreds of books in it.

'No. I went there often. Maybe if we just are silent, he wouldn't notice us?' He suggests in a questioned manner.
Taehyung nods and so they wait until they are sure the guard wouldn't notice them and push the door open.

Luckily the door doesn't make a sound and they stay unnoticed.
Taehyung looks around. There are so many books he doesn't know where he should look first. The room is literally breathtaking. The students here have to be rich as fuck. Otherwise, the library couldn't effort all those books.

'There is the section for supernatural creatures' Jimin says and points with his fingers in a direction across the room. Jimin pulls Taehyung with him. When they are finally in front of a shelf Jimin let go of his hand.

Taehyung looks down at his hand and raises his gaze to Jimin's shy face. If there would be more light he could have seen the blush that crept up Jimin's face. He didn't realize that he held Taehyungs hand the whole time.

Quickly they stop their staring at each other and start looking for a book that can help Taehyung to reanimate Jungkook.

15 minutes later

Taehyung sits down on the ground. He sighs and rand a hand through his hair. How is he supposed to find something about a possibly dead genie?

'Oh my lord, Taehyung. I got something' Jimin suddenly shouts and hold up a thick old book in the air.
Taehyung jumps up and takes a few steps to Jimin. When they are about to open the book they hear a loud voice yelling 'Who is there?!'. The eyes of the boys widen in shock. They stare at each other. Panick washes over them and they try as fast as possible to get out of the sight of the guard.

They hide behind their shelf and watch the movement of the angry man. He already has a bright fat flashlight in his hand and looks for them through the small corridors.

The boys are pressed together at the wall of the room. Jimin can feel the heavy breathing from Taehyung on his neck. 'Ok. We run out of here. I count down' Tawhyung whispers into Jimin's right ear. He nods rapidly.

Taehyung continues 'Well let's go in 3... 2... 1...'. They started to move while Taehyung shouts 'RUUUUN'.
as fast as their feet could they run out of the big building. The first meters they could hear the voice and steps of the guard. But eventually, he gave up.

Jimin's and Taehyung stop in their tracks a few streets away from the university. They pant hard and have to catch their breath.
'That was' inhale, exhale from Jimin 'absolutely exhausting'.
Taehyung starts to chuckle. He was surprised that the boy can even run at all. Jimin looks so small and weak. Plus he's a bookworm.

But never judge a book by its cover.
Taehyung nodded towards Jimin.
'Show me what you've found'.
Fast Jimin opens the book and flicks through the pages. The book seems really old. The pages are tinted in a yellowish brown.

They are right below a street lamp so they can read the words which are written easily. 'Here, read!' Jimin demands and shows Taehyung a short paragraph.

Taehyungs scans the text and stops when he finds the solution.
'To save a genie the person which affects him the most has to cry over him. The tears of the person have to fall down directly on the genie otherwise it can't work." Taehyung mutters out.

Jimin grinned 'Wow that's awesome'. But Taehyung thinks of it the opposite. Who affected the genie the most? Who can make help him?
Then he remembers.
His mouth falls open in shock. Jimin watches Taehyung worried. He thought what he was looking for was out of curiosity but now he realized that there is something wrong.

'Taehyung.. what are you thinking of?' He asks and rubs his hands in a comforting manner of Taehyungs arms.

'I have to find him.'

Jin.
