I'm So Lucky

     After nationals the glee club was rocking and rolling! The school loved us, I got more solos, and we got new members. But that also meant I had to focus more on the glee club than my boyfriend. And that made every moment we had together all the more special. So one special Tuesday, I got a text.

Bastian 💖: hey girl of steel meet me in ten minutes by the auditorium 😘

Marls 💖💙: ok scarlet speedster. What do you want?

Bastian 💖: you'll see 😉

Marls 💖💙: ugh

     I walked to the auditorium to find none other than Sebastian. 

"Hey Marls! Come inside." He grabbed my hand and pulled me into the double doors.  

"Let's go!" He kept my hand in his and ran down the aisle.

"SEB! I told you not to use your powers!" I whisper yelled.

He laughed and hopped onto the stage.  He grabbed his guitar and started to strum. 

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"What do you think I'm doing? I want you to sing with me!" 

"Okay, then why did you have to leave it a surprise?"

"Because I like surprises, that's why."

"Oh, honestly what am I going to do with you!  Fine... what song do you want to sing?"

"I knew you'd come around. I want to sing Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat." said Sebastian.

"You're so cheesy! Of course I'll sing it with you."

He started to sing.

Then I sang with him.

We sang together and gazed into each other's eyes.

Then he sang.

Then I sang with him.  I was so happy to have this wonderful guy in my life.

Then he sang and smiled at me.

And so I'm sailing through the sea

He spun me around and I sang.

Though the breezes through the trees

We sang and danced together.  He smiled at me with that cheesy grin.  I knew that this is where I belonged.

"I love you too Barry."

Then he kissed me and time seemed to go in slow-motion. I was caught up in this wonderful moment.  I wanted to stay in his arms forever.  Then, the bell rang.

He cleared his throat. "Marls, I have to go back to Dalton.  The Warblers are waiting for me. We have a council meeting. Wes' gavel probably broke again. Honestly, he's in love with that thing."

I giggled.

"Well, I've got to go. I love you Marls." 

"I love you too Bastian." He pecked me on the cheek and left.

I was left standing on the auditorium stage, savoring everything that just happened.
