"Nash?" That was the only word that went through my mind.It can't be him.
"Nash!" I yelled as the doors closed and the elevator left the floor.
I stood there not being able to form any kind of movement. My legs felt like jelly and my heart was ready to burst out of my chest and fall to the floor.
Realizing what I saw I ran back downstairs, almost tripping myself, and stood by the front door. There was nobody there.
Nobody that looked like him.
"Des?" Chase's voice snapped me out of the crazy roller coaster that my thoughts had turned to.
"I think I saw Nash." I whispered.
"You think you saw what?"
"Nash!" I yelled. "Oh my God, I'm going crazy." I sat down by the curb.
"I'm not lying Chase it was him. It was really him. He wore a hoodie. But I saw his eyes." I sobbed as I brought my knees close to my chest.
"Destiny relax. Take it easy." He pulled me close.
"It was a long day. You're tired."
"I'm not tired. I saw him." I cried.
"He can't be here Des. Let's go back upstairs." He pulled me to my feet.
"I'm not crazy Chase." I said in his arms.
"I know you're not. You're just tired." We got into the elevator.
That smell. That familiar intoxicating smell.
Cigarettes and mint. That's his smell. But I didn't say a word. He'll think I'm crazy. And maybe I've start losing it.
"Do you want me to help you get in?" Chase asked when he saw me struggle with my keys.
"Yeah." I murmured and defeated I gave him my keys.
"Here." He opened the door and we both got in.
"Do you want me to make anything to eat? Or drink?" He asked as I sat on the couch.
"No."
"Drink it is then." He said and I laughed.
"Look Des. It's all too much. I understand." He passed me the glass full of tequila.
"I don't know what's happening. Do you think I'm losing it?"
"No you're not." He caressed my hair and I felt my eyes getting heavier.
"Could it be him?" I asked him.
"No Destiny." He pulled me close. "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry you have to go through this.""Why are you sorry? It isn't your fault." I said and closed my eyes.
"Let's get you to bed." He picked me up and carried me to my bed.
He laid me down and covered me with a blanket.
"It's gonna be okay Des." I heard him say. "Just wait a little more." That was the last thing I heard before I completely drifted to sleep.

"Des come on." I heard someone say in my sleep.
"Wake up. It's late." They nudged my shoulder.
"Go away." I murmured in my pillow.
