As Nox was laying down trying to sleep, he thought he could hear screaming, which was normal for Hell, but the screams sounded like someone he knew.
They also weren't coming from outside, they were in his head.
All he could think about was Zahi, and now he could hear his screams, he started to panic, knowing he couldn't do anything to help him.
He got up and started to pace his room until a sharp pain came from his wrist.

He held back a scream and looked down, there was a faint red line going from his wrist up to his elbow.

They're hurting him!

Nox was now desperately trying to find a way to get to Zahi. He ran out of his room ignoring the guards yelling at him and chasing after him.

All he could hear was Zahi's voice in agony.
He ran until he got to the gates of Hell.
He needed to leave, he needed to get to Heaven and find him.
He needs to save him.

The keeper at the gate gave him a suspicious look, but saw the panic on his face, "Where to?"

Nox gave him a thankful smile, "Earth please. Anywhere."

The demon nodded and drew some markings on the floor, the wall in front of them started to warp and turned into a tar like vortex.

Nox gave him a nod and walked into the vortex.
When he got out, he saw he was in the middle of a field. Somewhere where no one would find it suspicious that a person appeared out of thin air.

He looked around and tried following Zahi's screams to a gate of Heaven. He didn't know where they were, but he was determined to find one.

He started running through fields trying to find a portal, but the screams were so far away that he couldn't tell where they were coming from.
Then they stopped. The pain wasn't as bad as before and Nox was thankful, but now he couldn't find him.

He tried praying to him and speaking to him, but it was no use. He couldn't get through to him.
He started to break down when he heard more guards shouting and running around.

He couldn't stop now. He was on the run again.
If they caught him this time he really wouldn't be able to help Zahi.

Nox ran as fast as he could and he made it all the way to a small barn that looked pretty abandoned.
He did his best to hide before they came in and looked for him.

He looked around and saw a couple of old boxes, some empty barrels, and a ladder leading up to the second floor.
He climbed up and looked for more places to hide, but there was nothing that wasn't on the first floor.
He started to go back down getting ready to run again, but he noticed a loose board on the wall.

He went over to it and pried it open.
There was just enough space for him to fit in between the wall so he started to drag over some boxes and barrels to try and hide the wall.

He barely got the barrels in front of the wall and into his spot when he heard the demons walk inside.

"Check upstairs. The little bastard couldn't have gotten that far. I'll stay by the door so he can't get out."

He heard the creaking of the ladder and looked through a little crack.
The guard was right next to him, he held his breath and covered his mouth.

"I don't see him."
He started to go back down and out the door.

Nox let out a breath and sighed.
That was way too close.

He decided it was best if he were to wait for them to leave in case they came back around.
He was thankful he made that decision too, because the other guard came back in just in case his partner missed anything.

Nox held his breath again and right when him and the guard made eye contact the ladder broke.

"Shit!" The guard fell with a hard thud and Nox smiled to himself.
Although he may have seen him so he couldn't be too happy yet.

The other guard came rushing in and asked what happened.
"The later broke, that's what happened."

"Well you are pretty fat."

"Listen here you son of a bitch."
The guards started to fight and left the building, taking their argument elsewhere.

Nox let out a little laugh and tried to look out the door, he couldn't see anybody or hear them so he decided it was safe to leave.

He forgot about the ladder and muttered some words under his breath.
He decided it wasn't too high and jumped down.
His ankle tingled a little bit when he landed, but he decided that he was fine to keep going.

He peaked out the door and looked around, he didn't see the guards anywhere so he decided it was safe to start looking for some way to get into Heaven. He made his way back to the field and into the tall grass, he followed a thin trail probably made by animals, hoping it would lead him somewhere.
Eventually, Nox made it to a road of sorts and he heard a truck a little ways behind him. He ducked back into the grass real quick so they wouldn't report an alien child roaming wheat fields. After the truck passed he went to cross the road when he felt a strong hand grab his throat.

"You thought you could get away you little prick?"

It was Xavier, Nox could smell his stench,
"Please! Xavier, you don't understand. I have to get to him!"

"Oh I understand, what you don't get is that I don't care about you or your little friend."
He started to drag Nox through the field back to the portal.

Nox got angry at the mention of Zahi coming out of Xavier's mouth.
"What you don't seem to understand, you little bitch, is that if you try escaping again, you put this entire project at risk. And I'm not gonna let that happen."

Project? What project?
Is he talking about the things that happen to Zahi?
How does he know about that stuff?

Nox had many thoughts going through his mind and he couldn't understand what Xavier was trying to tell him.

"Don't worry, you both will see each other. In time."
Xavier pushed Nox through the portal and followed after him, when he landed back onto the boiling hot ground, he was swiftly picked back up by his shirt and dragged towards the torture rooms.

"No!!! No please! Stop!"
People watched as Nox was dragged through the streets and only sneered or laughed as he cried for help.
No one was coming to save him, and he couldn't escape, there was no way out for Nox, and he couldn't take anymore.
