"What do you mean what am I doing? Who the hell is Mia and what is she talking about are you going to come over again tonight?"
"Let me explain Kay."
He started walking towards me while I still had the phone in my hand. He took the phone out my hand and placed on the dress and grabbed me by the waist. I pushed his hands away and backed away from him.
"Don't touch me so this is where you were last night with some bitch on our anniversary at that!"
At this point, I was furious how in the hell could he do this to us to me.
"Baby, it's not like that I went over to her house, to talk and work on the space she wants the company to build, she is the reason why the company is working overtime she put in extra money so that we have to move faster with her projects."
"You must take me for some fool Jayden? I'm no one's fool but yet you sitting right here lying to me when I see something clear as day. You blame everything on work. What does work have to do with you barely looking at me, touching me, making me feel loved, hell you don't even give the girls that much attention anymore. What have we come to? Are you trying to destroy us and our family? Let me tell you something if I found out that you're cheating me on me we are done I mean it and you can kiss the little family goodbye."
At this point, I was on the verge of tears he just stood there with nothing to say. He has nothing to say, the silence started to kill me slowly. I walked away and went into the bathroom and started my shower. As I was showering I felt cool air hit my back and it was Jay getting in the shower behind me. I felt his hands placed on my waist and he started giving me light butterfly kisses on my neck and started going down to my back and ass. My body was betraying me and I hated every single thing at this moment but, my body was saying otherwise. Does he really think sex was going to help us? I just got out of the shower and went into the room and got dress.
Jay, the kids and I were now at Sky Zone. The girls were having a good time and so was I. I wouldn't trade my baby's for the world, they are my reason for living. I always wish my baby boy was here, I knew I wouldn't get enough him especially his dad. Jayden loved the girls but I knew he was more excited for the boy because he was already in a house full of girls. He always said that Amora and I was a hand full. So, in my thoughts, I didn't even see them walking back over to the table.
"Mommy this is so fun! Daddy I'm glad that you came today you have been missing out on the last couple of family time."
Amora was very observant, it was like every day she became more advanced.
"Yeah daddy, but can we please watch Moana tonight?"
"Anything for my princesses and queen."
Rolling my eyes, I turned around when I heard someone calling my name.
"Kayceee!"
I turned around and it was Liyah and her daughter, thank you, Jesus.
"Hey Liyah, what are you doing here?"
I got up and hug her, her daughter went to sit with the girls. I notice that Jay walked away talking on the phone going outside.
"What do you mean what am I doing here? Milly dragged me here today how come you didn't let me know you were coming today?"
"Honey, I was but the girls wanted their dad to come so bad, so the plans change to us hanging out together."
"That's cool Marcus ass, outside trying to find his wallet I swear he can't keep up with anything."
She rolled her eyes and we both start laughing. I met Liyah at a painting class years ago. We just started talking and hit it off from there. Liyah has been around since my second pregnancy with the twins. At the time I was just trying to keep my mind off from losing a baby and having a toddler and newborn at home. She related to me in a lot of different ways we were like sisters. We learned everything about each other in a short time frame. Liyah too had lost a baby but, we dealt with it differently. Marcus always was there for her the nights she cried and consoling her. Something that I needed too. Since Jay was not there Liyah became my backbone over the years. Our daughters were also like best friends.
"How are you doing Ce-ce really?"
I could tell from the look on her face she was serious and she knew something was wrong.
"Liyah, I think he is cheating on me, long story short I saw a text message from a woman name Mia asking was he coming over again tonight."
"Wait, are serious? You want me to beat his ass for you? Matter fact Marcus bi-"
I cut her off "No, Li just listen I want to really make sure but my intuition is telling me yes. Please don't tell Marcus. I don't want anyone involved in this."
"Okay, I'm going to respect your wishes for right now but, don't take to long you know I love you like a sister and I'm ride or die about anybody I care about."
Smiling " I know that's why I love you and you mean the world to me."
After that conversation, we saw Marcus and Jay walking in together talking. For the rest of the day, we stayed a little longer at Sky Zone and then we all went out to eat at Juicy Crabs. We were finally home the girls were tired so they went straight to bed. I was in the kitchen moping the floor when Jay came in.
"Baby, come here I want to show you something."
I stopped mopping the floor and walked over to him he grabbed my hands and led me to the backyard of our house.
It was beautiful. Roses on the ground lit with candles and it trailing up to the two seats with a table and wine. Once got to the table he pulled the chair out for me and I sat down. He left but came right back with my favorite, chicken pasta. After he sat down at the table.
"Kayce, I'm sorry about how I been treating you for the past couple of months its just work and I'm really trying to make sure that a roof is kept over you guys head."
Internally rolling my eyes, I sip some of my wine.
"Jay you wouldn't have to feel this way If you didn't want me to quit my job. Does it hurt your ego or something when I was making my own money?"
I didn't even give him a chance to answer.
"Don't you get I can help this family out to? Don't get me wrong I love my family and having all the time in the world for them but I also like working to Jay. I didn't get a business degree in college just to waste it."
"I get the baby but as a man, I learned that the wife stays home, and the man provides that's how I was raised and you know that."
The conversation wasn't going to get anywhere so we just sat there silently still eating. Reaching in his pocket he pulled out a box.
Opening box it was a diamond bracelet and it had our wedding date on it. It was beautiful.
"Thank you so much baby" I took it out the box and he put it on my wrist.
"Beautiful diamonds for a beautiful woman. Kayce Smith I love you, I would never do anything to hurt your or my kids. If I could I would give you and my kids the last breathe in me, just please don't leave me I would be lost without you"
All I could say to him was "I love you too"
He walked us back into the house and we went upstairs and the rest was history.
