The dull days led on. I was taking it better than expected. I obviously cried when I read it, but that was it. I wanted to know what was going on. Why was she ill? What was wrong with her?

Autumn turned into Winter. It hadn’t snowed, but there was a crisp ice on the ground. Lots of the older students had taught us how to turn our shoes into skates. I was unbelievably bad at that.

And what was worse; Raen, Celeste, Noelle, and most importantly, Camille, were all going home for the holidays. I was going to be all on my own. Just me, myself and I, for two whole boring weeks.

And if that wasn’t enough, I still didn’t know what Potter, Weasley and Granger were up to. I hadn’t told anyone that I saw what they were doing…but I wasn’t sure WHAT I saw.

I still hadn’t talked to Draco properly. There’d been another attack which consisted of a Hufflepuff and the Gryffindor ghost. But I couldn’t explain how he was doing it all. He couldn’t have been where it happened when it happened. Although, being the heir of Slytherin must have some qualities.

“I wish you could come!” Camille moaned as she packed her bags. “I feel so bad that you’re on your own”

“Don’t worry about me” I sighed, shooting sparks out of my wand.

“My mother is stupid! You should come home with me, but she won’t allow it!”

“Mmm” I groaned, slumping down into my pillow. “It’s okay”

“You are okay though, yeah?” she asked, sitting down next to me.

“Oh, what’s up now?” a different voice called.

We both looked up and saw Myora, Amora and Kessie.

“Are you just complaining because we actually have emotions, yeah?” Camille spat back.

“No!” Amora hissed. “There’s just always something wrong with her!”. She pointed at me lividly, her long, boney finger was outstretched.

“Well maybe that’s because I actually have something to cry over” I smiled, though I felt awful inside.

“Oh is that so?” Myora sneered. “What is it? Didn’t hand in your homework on time?”

Kessie laughed; her stomach bounced.

“Say that to my face when I’m working for the Ministry of Magic and you’re working in the Leaky Cauldron” I retaliated, which made Camille laugh.

“Oh, you’re a funny one aren’t you?” Amora shot. All three were still standing in the doorway. “Brooke LeCrasse. Miss Pretty. Miss I’ll bother with people older than me so I look cool. Well it’s not going to work with you. You’re just a dirty little scum bag”

I could see Camille getting angrier through the corner of my eye. She answered back quicker than a snake shooting for its prey. “Back off Perryslit! You annoying little toad! At least we can bother with people older than us. At least we don’t get shot down. At least there’s a chance of us going somewhere. You got turned down by a Hufflepuff!” Kessie and Myora looked at eachother in the background. They both looked shocked. “Yeah! Couldn’t even tell your best friends that. Well I caught you. Don’t come onto us just because you want an argument. We’ll fight back. Bet you didn’t see that from Brooke did you My’?”

All three looked at each other.

“Do you get Camille to fight all your battles Brooke?” Amora asked me evilly.
