Chapter 2

Diana's POV

It is the end of my second week of kindergarten and me and Louis are good friends. We just keep it a secret from our parents.

"Mummy I'm going outside" I yelled to my mom who was in the kitchen.

"Okay but stay inside the fence and where I can see you" she said I quickly ran outside.

I had just been blowing bubbles and I was about to go back in until someone called my name.

"Diana over here" I looked over at the fence to see Louis looking at me from the other side.

"Hi Louis" I said when I got over to him.

"Hi what are you doing" he asked me smiling.

"Just blowing some bubbles" I said to him

"Cool I was watching this show with my mum" Louis said.

"Was it a cool show" I asked him

"I guess it was just people singing" louis said.

"Do you like to sing" I asked him.

"Yeah sometimes" he whispered.

"Diana come in for dinner" my mummy yelled.

"Bye" I whispered to Louis before running into the house.

I felt bad for not telling my mummy that me and Louis were friends. But I know she would not let us be friends if she knew.

"Why can't I be friends with Louis" I asked my mummy and daddy while we were eating.

"Because you just can't Diana don't worry about it okay" my dad said.

"Okay daddy" I said at almost a whisper not understanding.

Once I finished eating I watched a movie before it was bedtime.

"Mummy can you tell me why me and Louis can't be friends" I said as she was tucking me in.

"It's complicated honey" she smiled weakly at me.

"Please tell me" I whined.

"How about I tell you when your 17 or 18" she smiled to me which made me sad.

"Fine but don't forget" I said shaking her hand.

"I won't now goodnight I love you" mummy said kissing my four head.

"Goodnight I love you too" I said before she left.

Louis POV

I hoped up into my bed before my mom started to tuck me in.

"Why can't I be friends with Diana" I asked.

"Because you just can't" she said.

"But mum I want to know" I begged her.

"I will tell you when your older" she sighed before kissing my four head.

"Goodnight Lou I love you" mum smiled at me.

"Goodnight I love you too" I said before she left the room for me to sleep.
