Recap: I walked towards the living room, Nathan was waiting impatiently with his parents. This looked like a family meeting, so I thanked his mom for the food and began to walk away to the stairs.
"Hold on." Nathan's mom said and I turned around slowly.
"Yes?" I said and smiled awkwardly.
"Come sit." She said while patting a spot beside her. Nooooo. I slowly walked over to the spot and sat lightly. She was watching my every move and she didn't look too happy, holy crap, did I do something?
"So-" she started after a minute of silence and I jumped. She looked at me weird and back to Nathan. Nathan's dad was silent as always, I swear he can't speak.
"Did y'all have sex or something? You're acting weird, you both are. I saw the hesitant way you sat too... Don't tell me you-" I looked at Nathan and couldn't help but to chuckle. Really? That's what she wanted me for. 'Hesitant way you sat' I'm dying of laughter. Jeez... Would I bottom? What.... She doesn't think I would? Ehhh.... Would I? Wait...what? I was caught in my thoughts and I heard Nathan break into them.
"No, we haven't done anything intimate." He said casually and his mom squinted her eyes at him.
"Okay, you don't have that 'lying face' on. Why'd you sit like that then?" She asked looking in my direction. Duh, because you never made a creepy face at me like that.
"I'm shy... I don't know." I said and mentally face palmed myself. What a stupid answer. Nathan chuckled a bit and I shot him a glare.
"So, you're acting weird, why?" She said blankly. Oh my gosh, I'm not saying a thing. Nathan didn't say anything either, so... Going well.
"You didn't touch each other weirdly did y-" she started and I looked away.
"Mom!" Nathan yelled and his dad looked at us both awkwardly. I could tell he didn't want to be included in whatever this is.
"Oh my god! You did!" She yelled shuffling around in her spot. I scooted over a bit closer to his dad rather than his mom and sighed.
"We showered together." Nathan said in a low tone. Oh my gosh! This snitch! He knew how uncomfortable I was about that, why would he tell her? I roughly got up and stomped my way away from them. I went up the stairs making as much noise as I could with my feet and slammed the door behind me. I sat on the bed and started crying. I heard footsteps and I hid my face under the blanket. He walked into the room and I yelled.
"Nathan, how could you!-" I started. Then I realized it was his mom. Oh shit. She walked up to me and sat on the bed next to me.
"It's nothing to be embarrassed about. I'd like for you to not throw another tantrum like that though... Also, I'm just saying... You're young and I don't want you doing anything you'd regret." She started and I looked away, rolling my eyes. Yeah, sure. I'm not even halfway thinking of doing any of that stuff. I didn't respond so she continues.
"If you do think you're ready though-" she started and I scooted over awkwardly.
"I'm n..not e..even thinking of t..t...that!" I yelled and blushed insanely. I don't want to talk about this with his mom. This is too weird. I stuttered wildly and I felt instant embarrassment. I'm not thinking about it... Right? I mean... We do love each o- no! No way! I'm not doing that. I'm not thinking about it... Well maybe I'm half way thinking about it. I just can't admit it. She smiled and stood up.
"Well then, that's great! I really didn't want to have 'the talk' with you. I remember Nathan's face." She said and skipped out of the door. Jesus, that was awkward. Nathan walked into the room a second after and I turned away.
"Why would you tell her? I didn't want anyone to know, that was our business." I started and he sat beside me. I laid down and crossed my arms.
"I was just being honest..." He said plainly. I didn't respond and I just laid there with my arms still crossed.
"So... Before dinner... Were you trying to, you know?" I said still looking away from him. I heard a sigh and then he laid down beside me.
"I don't know..." He said.
"Well... I'm not ready for stuff like that." I said and he whispered an 'okay' in my ear and we both fell asleep.
-Morning-
I woke up and Nathan was staring at me. What the crap! I fell on the floor and he got up instantly.
"Are you okay?" He said, I could tell he was trying not to laugh.
"Why are you staring at my face, weirdo?" I said and he sighed.
"I'm not a weirdo. We do have to go somewhere soon, I know you're not going to be happy about it. I'm not either." I looked at him with a confused and worried look. I got back in the bed and laid down.
"W...what are you talking about?" I said grabbing his hand. I really don't want to hear his next words... But what could possibly be going on? He looked at me uncomfortably and he looked like he was about to cry.
"You might have to... Like live with another family. Since you don't have any more family members... They're looking for a home for you." He started. I began crying and pacing around the room.
"I don't want to go! They can't make me go! Why can't I stay here?" I started and I couldn't stop crying. I sat on the floor and started tugging at my hair. Nathan walked over to me and hugged me, I hugged back.
"I'm sorry... I hope it takes them gazillion years to find a place." He said. I could feel his tears soaking into my shirt. I hate when he cries... He's too tough for that.
"I hope so too." I said.
"Stop crying..." I stated. I love how he cares so much, but I'm not worth shedding a tear for. No one is going to want a kid like me anyways, right? We got dressed into different clothes and Nathan's mom was waiting at the door to get going. She had a blue Subaru and it was quite nice, just as nice as Nathan's car. I got into the backseat with Nathan and his dad took the front. Here we go.
