Slightly Tempted (Slightly Series, Book Four, Teen Wolf)

CHAPTER FOUR---The Benefactor

Dad had called Derek for help.

Scott had called Stiles and me for help.

Scott had bit Liam to save his life because of a Wendigo tried to push him off the roof of the hospital and holding Scott's arms back so he couldn't save him.

Stiles and I followed Scott into his house.

"Like we said, we told our dad everything we could," Stiles told him.

"But you didn't tell him about Liam?" Scott asked.

"Youbarely told us about Liam," I replied. "What did you do with him, anyway?"

"He's upstairs," Scott answered, starting to climb the stairs.

"Doing what?" Stiles asked.

Scott turned to face us awkwardly. "Lying down."

We gave him a weird look.

Scott took us up to his bathroom, pulling the shower curtain aside.

Liam was lying down in the tub, tied up by duct tape, duct tape covering his mouth as he struggled.

I slowly and awkwardly closed the shower curtain.

Stiles, Scott and I sat on Scott's bed.

"So you bit him," I said.

"Yeah," Scott answered.

"And you kidnapped him."

"Yeah."

"And you brought him here."

Scott looked at me. "I panicked."

"Yup," I said. "This isn't gonna end with us burying the pieces of his body out in the desert, is it?"

We could hear Liam's muffled crying from in the bathroom.

"As a reminder, this is why I always come up with the plans," Stiles told Scott. "Your plans suck. Even Stacie's plans are better than yours."

"I know," Scott told us. "Which is why I called you guys." He looked from Stiles to me. "So, what do we do?"

Stiles looked at us.

Scott put Liam in a chair in front of his bed.

"Liam, we're going to take the tape off your mouth," I told him. "If you scream, it goes right back on. If you talk quietly, it stays off. Got it?" Liam was still glaring at us, but he nodded. "Okay."

I pulled the tape off quickly, Liam exhaling deeply in pain.

"Okay, Liam, now you've seen a lot of confusing things tonight," Stiles told him. "And more confusing things are going to happen because of the confusing things that happened tonight. Do you understand?"

"Not really," Liam answered.

"Good. That's good."

"I don't understand either," Scott said.

I gave Scott a seriouslylook, nodding to Liam. "Maybe you should tell him."

"Tell me what?" Liam asked in a near demand.

"Liam . . ." Scott trailed off. "What happened to you, what I did to you, which I had to do in order to save you, it's going to change you."

"Unless it kills you," I said. Stiles and Scott looked at me. "Shouldn't have said that." Liam looked down, sniffling. "What? Uh . . .Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Is he crying?"
