Chapter 20

Matsuri and Harumin were both in an alley as they waited. Meanwhile Ari was walking to her destination with a little surprise.
"Ugh I'm getting tired of waiting" Harumin said and leaned against Matsuri's back. Matsuri blushed as she felt Harumin's chest pressed against her back
"Shhhhh...she might notice that you're here" Matsuri whispered. Suddenly Sangchul gave the order once they spotted the two mates. The man aimed with his gun with something inside it. It was a weird substance. He then aimed at them then fired. Matsuri's eyes widen sensing something. She immediately pushed Harumin and they got out of the way
"Damnit...I missed" The man said. Matsuri looked up and saw Sangchul.
"We need to get out now..." Matsuri said helping Harumin up. The men jumped from their hiding spot surrounding them. Matsuri and Harumin both pulled their golden katanas.
"What the hell do you guys want?" Matsuri asked
"We came here to capture you..." The man said
"What did I ever do to you?" Matsuri asked
"You Mizusawa...you killer....you're dangerous to be living with strong power...we can't allow another tragedy like that to happen" The man said
"Are you stupid or something?! Manny only wanted love and a family! But whoever killed his wife and son made him go wild!" Matsuri growled. The man just snapped his fingers and the men ran up to them with katanas as well. The two mates blocked their attack and fought back by working together. The man raised his gun and pulled the trigger aiming at Harumin. Matsuri's eyes widen then used her katana stabbing the ground creating a golden aura making the men fall back feeling the painful energy. Matsuri pushed Harumin then got shot on the back of her neck. Matsuri fell down and her powers weaken
"Run..." Matsuri mumbled
"No I can't leave you!" Harumin said holding Matsuri closely
"I-it's not safe...leave now...I don't want you hurt..." Matsuri said. The men groaned in pain and slowly woke up. The man holding the gun got up groaning and he put in the substance then aimed at Harumin then pulled the trigger. Matsuri used the last of her strength and pushed Harumin
"G-go....now...you can't fight them al-alone...leave" Matsuri mumbled. Matsuri fell on the floor and coughed out blood. Harumin teared up and ran away leaving her mate. Matsuri's body felt weak and numb. She looked at the men surrounding her
"Damnit...her mate got away"
"All that matters is that we have the most powerful one..."
"It seems that the prophecy was true. There was going to be a Mizusawa who'll get this power..."
"But I never thought her mate would be a girl. This is the first Mizusawa with a female mate..."
"Take her away. This Mizusawa is a monster. You know the last Mizusawa could've almost killed everyone...we won't let that happen again..."
The men carried Matsuri towards a van. Matsuri's vision started to blur and she could see blood...blood everywhere.

Harumin hid and saw how they carried Matsuri and putting her inside the van. Harumin then felt someone behind then pinned that person against the wall with her katana against their neck
"D-don't kill me...please...I-I'm a friend not y-your enemy" Tonisha said. Harumin's eyes widen and she let go of Tonisha
"Wait...I remember you. You tried to attack Matsuri back when the Academy was under attacked" Harumin said
"Y-yeah but I'm on your side now. Trust me" Tonisha said
"How can I trust you?" Harumin asked as she raised her katana
"Because...I caught someone that you definitely hate" Tonisha said and brought Harumin near a dumpster and next to the dumpster was Ari who was tied up. Harumin's eyes widen and her black dragon and golden dragon appeared growling at Ari
"W-woah...um we actually need her alive so tell your pets to uh...not kill her" Tonisha said standing in front of Ari. The dragons growled then Harumin walked up to them and pet their heads softly
"Explain what the hell is going on...or I'll just let my dragons devour you both" Harumin said glaring at the two womens
"Y-yeah don't worry this bitch will explain" Tonisha said. Ari glared at them and stayed quiet
"We'll let you go once you explain or...you'll get killed by her" Tonisha said
"....f-fine...I was actually helping Sangchul. He told me he'll help me get Matsuri back but...I didn't knew he worked for these other men..." Ari said
"Do you know where they're taking her?" Tonisha asked
"No..." Ari said. Harumin growled and without thinking she immediately kicked Ari hard on her stomach
"Hey Harumi calm down. We need her alive" Tonisha said
"Let me just kill her already..." Harumin said
"Y-yeah just kill me...then you'll see...Matsuri will hate you for killing one of her friends" Ari said. Harumin glared at her then kicked her on her face making her lay on her back then placed her foot against her neck pressing it hard not letting her breathe while holding her katana aiming her her eye
"Do you think she'll save you if she were here? You're dead wrong...she planned on killing you" Harumin said smirking as she transformed into her black dragon side
"Y-you're...urgh....l-lying..." Ari said struggling to breathe
"Why do you think she asked you to meet her? We both were planning to kill you...that's the reason she called you but now...she was taken away by them..." Harumin said glaring at her
"Um...Harumi? I thi-"
"Just shut the fuck up..." Harumin said as her red eyes glowed. Ari struggled to breathe as Harumin pressed her foot against her neck harder then raised her katana
"Time to kill..." Harumin said but felt someone grab her wrist
"Harumi just stop. Come on we need to save Matsuri. You can deal with her later..." Tonisha said. Harumin just let out a low growl then kicked Ari hard on her stomach making her cough out blood. Ari groaned in pain and curled up into a ball as her stomach ached. Her phone rang then she answered it
"Harumi? Are you okay?" Her mother asked
"Y-yeah but Matsuri she's been taken away" Harumin said
"We know...the Mizusawas have been attacked as well but they are heading their way to Matsuri. We're on our way as well and be careful...these men are much stronger and smarter...and don't let them catch you" Her mother said
"Alright...I'm on my way" Harumin said then hanged up. She then walked away leaving Tonisha and Ari
"Wait Harumi! Where are you going?" Tonisha said
"I'm going to find a few friends to help me..." Harumin said then ran away. Tonisha sighed and looked at Ari
"Let me go..." Ari said. Tonisha sighed and grabbed Ari
"You're coming with me..." She said
"Why won't you let me go?!" Ari exclaimed
"Because your the reason why Matsuri is captured! She's going to get killed by them!" Tonisha said and punched Ari hard. Meanwhile Harumin arrived at the forest and the gang surrounded her
"Where's Matsuri?"
"Did something bad happen?"
"Is she in trouble?"
Questions came out from the gang and Harumin looked at them
"She's been taken by some men. I'm not sure why though but...we must rescue her and I can't do this alone" Harumin said
"Of course leader!"
"Yes you are our leader as well"
"Matsuri cared for us all these 8 years and it's our turn to repay the favor"
Harumin smiled and felt the back of her neck tingle her body like it was signaling something. Her two dragons appeared and everyone gasps softly while others admired them
"Leader...we made this for you" A girl said handing her a mask that covered her upper face. The design was a dragon symbol. The dragon was colored black and red with sharp teeth. Harumin looked at it then put it on becoming...a Midnight Assassin.
"Now let's go and save Matsuri!" Harumin shouted raising her katana in the air. The Midnight Assassin's cheered and put their masks on and raised their weapons as well. Harumin looked up and saw the full moon
Don't worry Matsuri...I will save you

Matsuri groaned as she was in a cage. Her body still felt numb and her powers were gone. She sat up and realized she was chained. Men came inside the small room and their leader came
"Why am I here? Why can't I use my powers?" Matsuri asked
"We actually researched and found a special substance that makes dragons like you weak and there is no cure. Which means you're slowly dying..." He said
"I didn't do anything to you..." Matsuri said
"You are a monster..." The man said
"No I'm not" Matsuri said. The man then pulled out a disc and placed it in the computer showing a video.
Manny was growling and screaming in pain. He punched and kicked the cage. His eyes were bloody red, with sharp teeth, and huge dragon claws. Manny kept pushing and punching the cage.
"Sir! We can't hold him any longer!"
"Shit! He's loose!"
Manny escaped the cage and ran away. The men followed him with special weapons which were designed to kill these types of dragons. Manny crawled up the building and escaped the men. He then stood on top of the building and turned into a real black dragon with red stripes. Manny then let out a huge terrifying dragon roar then jumped from the building attacking the men
"So you see...that black dragon power of yours came from a family who was cursed. Manny's father was a Black dragon. It seems that when he was born with the Golden dragon powers the Black and Golden dragon somehow merged and worked together. The Black dragon power you have is dangerous...so we must get rid of you" The man explained
"B-but...it's not dangerous. As long as I have my mate...I'm fine" Matsuri said
"You don't get it do you? The Black dragon has killing desires. They sometimes get loose and decide to go on a killing spree..." The man said
"They go on a killing spree if they lose their mate...dumbass..." Matsuri mumbled
"Shut up. You don't understand. We are trying to save the people from monsters like you. Black dragons are terrifying strong and powerful. They can sometimes lose control and kill without thinking. They live by their mate's blood and during the full moon...they say that if two black dragons mate. The moon turns bloody red just like their eyes..." The man said. Matsuri just growled and stood up then tried to use her powers but then felt a sharp pain run through her body. She fell and whimpered loudly.
"Don't even try using your powers. There is no cure. Now we'll just wait for your mate since she has those powers as well" The man said. Matsuri was on the ground then coughed out blood
"Die...you monster" The man said and his gang left the room leaving Matsuri.
