"Okay Mr. Maverick, what kind of donut do you want?" Noah asked once he and Sharna had gotten them all to the donut shop.

"Umm, that one?" He said pointing to a chocolate donut that had white icing and Oreo crumbs on the top.

"Ohh, that one looks yummy. What donut should I get buddy?" Sharna asked him as they waited their turn.

"Uhh, that one." He said pointing to a vanilla donut that had chocolate icing with purple sprinkles.

"Ohh, good pick. What about for daddy?" Sharna said with a wink as she looked at Noah who looked hesitant.

"Daddy like plain, that one." Maverick said pointing to a plain glazed donut.

"You remembered! Good job! Can you pick a drink with Sharna? Sharna, you want coffee?" Noah said giving him a high five. He had never been a huge donut fan and therefore had always gone with a plain boring flavor. Maverick was more explorative as long as it looked like a cookie or a cake. He didn't like the filled ones.

"Yeah, with two creams and two sugars please unless we do it." She said kissing his cheek before leading Maverick to the drink case so he could pick out a drink. He ended up choosing strawberry milk and Sharna grabbed water as well just in case the milk didn't go well with the donut. She took the drinks to Noah and then took Maverick to find a table.

"I sit with you pease?" He asked her as she went to grab a booster seat to put in the chair beside her.

"In my lap or next to me?" She asked him.

"Lap, please?" He said reaching out his arms to her.

"Okay, I'm gonna put this here just incase you change your mind baby but you can sit with me." She said as she grabbed them some napkins and settled down before pulling him into her lap. She hugged him tightly, the fact that she was leaving in the next week resonating heavily on her mind. She wanted to cram as much into this next week as possible.

"Love you." He grinned looking up at her.

"I love you too buddy." She whispered as she leaned down and kissed his cheeks making him giggle. Noah appeared then with the donuts and drinks.

"I'm missing out on the giggles & tickles!" He said reaching forwards and tickling Maverick's belly.

"Daddy! No tickles. Sharna was giving me loves."

"Oh! So I missed out on loves! Now I'm just sad." Noah said sitting down looking sad and defeated but Sharna could see the gleam in his eye.

"Noo, no sad daddy. I love you too." Maverick said squirming off Sharna's lap and moving to Noah. He wrapped his arms around his dad's leg and squeezed tight before moving back to Sharna.

"I love you too buddy." Noah said as he gave Maverick his donut and milk. He handed Sharna hers next before getting his own. The three spent some time eating and relaxing a bit before the rest of their day.

"So do I get to know where we are going yet?" Sharna asked as she was cleaning off Mav's chocolate face.

"Umm, not yet, I need to talk to Mav first. Mav, can you come with Daddy for a minute?" Noah said standing up and holding his hand out. Mav looked skeptical at first before Noah winked at him and then he went with his dad. Sharna was left at the table alone.

"Okay buddy, so we need to pick something to do with Sharna today. Where do you think we should take her?" Noah asked Maverick once they were out of ear shot.

"Uhh, Sharna?" Mav asked confused.

"Yeah, remember today is our day with her? We need to find somewhere to take her. What do you think? We could go to the waterfall, we could go to the river, we could hike...."
