¤Fates POV¤

I heard a quiet knock on my front door. I looked out the window carefully looking at the figure. They were female.

I looked at my ring reminiscing when I was a child or just flat out human, but now there is no changing what already happened.

Then it started, my skin changed back to its original color, starting from the skin my ring was touching.

I quickly and quietly go to the bathroom seeing; dark, curly, brown hair, tan-ish peach skin and emerald green eyes, I looked normal.

Going back to the front door, turning the light on, and unlocking it to see a girl that was maybe five or six, she seems lost.

"Hello" I spoke softly and sweetly; "Can I help you?". She looked at me with sadness and confusion. "I'm looking for a lady named Fate do you know where her cabin is?" "Oh why that's me, hun'. Here come on in." I opened the door wider and motioned for the couch. "Make yourself at home, would you like anything?"

I now noticed how gunked up she looked. She wore a tattered, pink dress, as well as socks and no shoes. She was holding a little brown teddy bear. What a cutie! "Um... milk?" "Ok, I'll be right back."

As I walked away she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards her. Before I could ask what she needed, she pinched the back of my hand REALLY HARD, I almost cried.

That's when I realized my skin started to turn gray again, a look of worry and distress spread across my face. "My name is Sally by the way, welcome, our new member." She said with a smile, there was no fear in her eyes, but I saw there was someone behind me in the reflection of her eyes.

I flipped around to see E.J. and some girl with black hair and a mask like Masky's. "Is it your hobby to break into my house or somethin'?" I asked quietly enough for only me to hear, but that clearly didn't work as he heard me.

"Why yes it is I'm glad you noticed," he said like he just defeated the final boss in a video game. "Uhh, who-" "Jack don't be rude!" The woman with the white mask yelled at Jack. "Hello there, I'm Jane, please ignore this rock head and all his idiocy" Jane continued. "Oh, well it's nice to meet you, Jane, I'm Fate." I quietly replied.

I looked at Sally who was tugging at my sweater sleeve. "Yes? What is it, hun'?" I said in a sweet tone. "milk?" she replied with the CUTEST puppy dog eyes EVER! I smiled and nodded while walking to the kitchen to get some tea started and sally her milk.

Do you know how frustrating it is to pack under pressure? It's very difficult... VERY difficult, Masky and E.J. offered their help when it was needed but it didn't help much because of Sally, while Toby and Jane did the cooking and such so I was stuck doing a lot of it.

"Fate, where do you want these?" Masky asked while holding up two framed pictures, the one on the right was a picture of me and Alice and the one on the left was a big family photo. "Here let me pack those, they're special to me..." I quietly replied while taking them out of his hands.

¤ Narrators POV ¤

"Hey, Alice look!" Fate yelled happily and excitedly to Alice. It was the 4th of July and her parents were having a BBQ party for the neighborhood and asked everyone to bring some fireworks with them, and it just so happened to be the time they were starting.

"Ali, come pick a firework with me!" She motioned to the table overfilled with fireworks to pick from. "Let's get big ones Fate it would be funner!" "*Nods* yea!" Fate replied happily while running towards the table with Alice behind her.

"Hmm, oh I like this one!" Alice yelled out happily while grabbing a big firework in the shape of a dollar sign. "Ok, and I like this one!" Fate replied quite happily as she grabs the big, diamond-shaped firework, as Alice ran to the group of adults standing close to the road.

The small hyperactive sweetheart ran to the road to place fireworks, while Fate ran ahead to place hers she didn't notice the defective firework about to go off next to her and her excitement and happiness drowned out the cries and pleads to come back to the sidewalk.

Right then and there the firework blew up and burned her back. Fate's mother had tears in her eyes as she called an ambulance, Alice's father and mother ran to Fate's unconscious body shaking her trying to wake her up through their cries.

Seconds later the ambulance came and took Fate with Alice and the poor unconscious girl's mother next to her praying that she'd be okay. The doctor that stood close to Fate's head, who was putting a breathing tube on her, was speaking to calm them down and know what will happen

"She will need a surgery or two on her back, but there will be a scar that practically will be her back from then on, I'm afraid..." He continued. "But she will survive I promise you that."

¤ Fate's POV ¤

I chuckled, those were good times, all the scars I have all have memories to them. It's honestly a good feeling reminiscing about them even if they hurt at the time. I smiled from the memory, a ticklish feeling ran through my body and I giggled then soon after looking at my hand in astonishment as they started shrinking and turn to the tan-ish peach skin color I had as a child

I have a feeling this will happen each time i think of my old life...
