King
I couldn't stop thinking about Ameka. Not only was she beautiful, but she was humble. I mean, just talking to her I could tell she had a good head on her shoulder. I wanted to spend so much time with her, and show her what a real man was about, but it was Monday, and I had a meeting at the Marriott at noon. I got dressed in my all black true religion, and headed out the door.
I called up Deon and he was meeting me there. I got out my car, and stood there waiting on Deon. I wasn't about to walk into an ambush, especially when it came to a Mysterious woman like Milan. I heard about her through others, and she was a real killer. Nobody had actually seen her, but the stories everyone heard was beyond deadly. Thug Milan was what they called her throughout the east. Deon pulled up beside me, and we walked in. We headed to the bar, and the only thing we could see was two body guards standing.
"Yo." I said. The bar area was empty.
The first security guard turned around. "Milan will be with you in a few. Have a seat." He said pointing to a table close to the back. Deon and I made our way to the back, and set waiting.
"Homie, this some Scarface type shit." Deon said, "Bartender!"
The pale faced bartender looked over, "Two beers please."
"We didn't come to drink, Dee, we came for business." I said getting annoyed. I pulled out my phone to text Ameka....and then.
"You are not going to believe this shit," Deon said nudging me in my side.
I looked up from my phone staring at Ameka who was dressed in a long yellow sundress with her hair hanging down her back. Ameka looked up from her phone and starred directly at me.
Deon nudged me again, " Ain't that the girl from the club?"
My attitude was on a hundred. Milan was the same Ameka. The one I was falling for
"What the hell are you doing here Ameka?" I asked standing to my feet. Her eyes became big as she walked closer followed by her two body guards.
"It's Milan." She said sitting down across from me. "Could you three excuse us?"
"Milan, you know the rules." The bigger bodyguard said crossing his arms across his chest.
"Nigga do what the fuck she says, and Deon get your ass up to!" I was heated, not only had this girl been hiding who she really was, she was a big time drug dealer? Deon got up, and the body guards didn't know whether they should go or not.
Ameka nodded her head at them, and they followed Deon out the bar. "King, look im sorry I didn't tell you who I was. But what could I say, I'm a drug dealer, nice to meet you'." She said playing with her nails. "
"Did you know who I was?"
She shook her head no. "I had no idea you were King, you told me your name was Marcus."
"So what the fuck should we do now?"
"I can't see you anymore Marcus." She said. "You were never supposed to know who I was."
"What the fuck?" I hit the table with my fist. "Ameka, Milan who ever the fuck you are, you should have been up front with me!"
"I couldn't." She cried.
"Why?"
"Because I'm a wanted woman from Jamaica. If you knew who I was I'll be in trouble. I would be dead." Ameka said with tears in her eyes. "Please understand."
"I don't." I stood up, "Meetings over. If business is needed Deon will be the one to call. I'm out." I walked away from her, and toward Deon. "Deon go and conduct the meeting with shorty, I'm out." I gave him dap, and headed to the door. Damn another one I can't seem to trust.
Ameka
I watched Marcus walk out of the bar of the Marriott, and his friend return. I wiped my eyes with the napkin on the table, and straighten up. Deon set across from me.
"That's fucked up shorty." He said to me.
"What's so fucked up? The fact that I didn't tell him that I was a boss? Or the fact that I'm a runaway from Jamaica and the only way to even survive abuse was to come to America and sell drugs?" I waited for his response and got none. He just looked me right in my eye.
Deon finally spoke up when his beer was set in front of him. "You for real?"
I nodded. Why the hell would I lie about something like that.
"I would be dead right now."
My two guards came in and set down behind Deon. I got down to business, and let him know that the product would be their by Friday and twenty percent was needed. Deon and I talked for another thirty minutes before I excused myself. My guards walked me out and to my car.
"Are you alright?" Frank asked me holding open my car door. I smiled at him, touching his hand gently.
"I'm alright."
"Call me if u need me Ameka."
I pulled off heading home with King on my mind.
I arrived home, and King was sitting in his car in my driveway. I got out the car and walked up to his window knocking hard. King rolled his window down.
"The fuck are you doing here, come to yell at me some more?" I crossed my arms over my chest. I was about to cry again just looking at King.
King got out the car, and stood over me. He smelled like Calvin Klein."Deon told me about what you had told him. Can you just talk to me?" King said taking my hands into his.
"I was raped by my father for years. My own father. I had to get away. This was the only option I had King."
King pulled me into his embrace. "It's going to be alright. You got me baby girl."
