Levi x Hanji

Part 6

Hanji was quiet.

"Stable cleaning, two months Kirschtein," Levi said.

"Captain!" Jean gasped.

"I will make it three." Levi said.

Jean quieted.

"But..." Levi said.

"He is right four-eyes, you do owe us an explanation."

Hanji sighed.

"Yeah, you're right," she said, quietly.

Levi locked the door, he didn't want anyone walking in and seeing what was about to happen.

Hanji tried to sit up, wincing in pain.

"Let me help," Reiner said.

He carefully picked her up and placed her in a sitting position. Levi scowled.

"Thanks," Hanji said.

Reiner patted her shoulder.

"Tch, hands off Braun." Levi growled.

"S-sorry sir!" Reiner replied, quickly backing away.

"Why is Levi acting like this...?" Hanji wondered.

"He's never been like this. So...protective..."

"Oi, shitty glasses," Levi said, pulling her back to reality.

"Explain what in the hell happened to you and why you had a tail."

"Ah yes, that," Hanji said with a sigh.

"Eren, would you mind handing me that glass of water?"

"Uh, sure thing Section Commander," Eren replied.

He handed it to her.

"Hope you're all ready for this..." Hanji said.

She poured the water on her arm. Levi, Eren, Reiner, Jean, Sasha, Mikasa and Armin watched in shock as Hanji transformed. Her tail in full view.

"Four-eyes, how did this happen?" Levi asked, not taking his eyes off her tail.

"Remember that little incident at my work room?" Hanji asked, scratching the back of her head.

"The one more than a month ago?" Levi replied.

"Yeah, well...this is a result of that...hehe," Hanji said.

"You've been able to hide this for that long?" Armin asked.

"Surprisingly yes," Hanji replied.

"Even from the Captain?" Eren said.

"He almost caught me once, so did Moblit," Hanji replied.

"Trust me, this is not something that's easy to hide."

"God damnit four-eyes!" Levi snapped.

"Why didn't you tell me?!"

"I...well you were so mad at me that night," Hanji said, looking down.

"I figured, I'd just keep it to myself and..."

Levi flicked her forehead.

"Owwww, Levi why?" Hanji whined, rubbing the place he flicked.

"You idiot, trying to keep this hidden!" Levi said.

"What would you have done if it was raining on an expedition?! Just fallen on your face and get eaten by a titan?! Sometimes I wonder if you have a brain at all."

Hanji played with her fingers, feeling a little ashamed.

"And...I wasn't mad at you for blowing up your office," Levi said, in a calmer voice.

"I was mad that you put yourself in danger."

Hanji looked at him.

"Don't do it again," Levi said.

"I didn't mean to worry you," Hanji replied.

"You nearly give me a heart attack every damn day shitty glasses," Levi said.

"Hehe...my bad," Hanji muttered.

"You two suck at flirting," Jean said.

Levi shot him a death glare.

"WHO said we were doing that Kirschtein?" Levi asked, a dark tone to his voice.

Jean gulped.

"N-no one sir! J-just a silly rumor!" he said.

"Good." Levi replied.

"Sir? Should I get Commander Erwin?" Armin asked.

"NO!" Hanji exclaimed.

Everyone looked at her.

"Please, don't tell him," Hanji said.

"He needs to know," Levi replied.

"And if he knows, he can help keep your secret!" Sasha chimed in.

"Potato girl is right," Levi said.

Hanji sighed.

"Fine, but can we wait to tell him?" she asked.

Levi nodded. Just then, Hanji's tail disappeared.

"Uh...where'd it go?" Reiner asked.

"It vanishes when I'm dry," Hanji explained.

Everyone just kind of stared at her.

"Tch," Levi scoffed, getting annoyed now.

"All right brats, get out and leave Hanji to rest. You've bothered her enough."

"We'll come visit you tomorrow!" Sasha said with a smile.

Hanji smiled.

"I look forward to it," she said.

Eren, Armin, Reiner, Jean, Sasha and Mikasa left. Levi got Hanji settled into bed. Hanji yawned.

"Get some sleep, shitty glasses," Levi said.

"You look exhausted."

Hanji yawned again. She closed her eyes and was soon asleep.

"Tch, you're such a reckless idiot four-eyes," Levi said as he pulled the blanket over her.

Levi made sure Hanji was all set for the night. He created a pillow rest and border for her broken leg. Hanji went to shift her position.

"No," Levi said, gently grabbing her shoulders and easing her onto her back.

Hanji protested in sleep.

"Calm down shitty glasses," Levi said.

"You're all right."

Hanji relaxed. Once Levi was sure she was going to be all right, he left to do some paper work.
