The Naughty Babysitter

"Woo Lies"

I turn the radio station and pull out left towards my house.  When i look in the review mirror I watch Danny pull out in the opposite direction and i slump down a little.  The entire ride home my mind fills with thoughts of what Kyle could have said, and the fact that I hurt his feelings. 

I pull into my driveway after about 15 minutes with about 5 of those minutes spent stalling.  I mean Danny would be a few so why not. I turn off the engine and grab my keys, smoothie and bag walking inside.  I managed to sneak past my parents, who are both in the kitchen cooking.  I run up the stairs and put my bag on my bed and put my keys in the bowl.  I then walk over to the mirror and just look at myself. 'How could someone like Kyle like someone like me' I whisper to myself.

I walk back downstairs with my smoothie in my hand to the kitchen to join my parents who are filling the air with their sweet talk and laughter. I sit on one of the stools in front of my mom. 

"Hey Honey, how was your day?" she starts chopping up peppers and other leafy greens.

"Pretty normal.  Danny's coming over he'll be here in a few. " I state then sip on my smoothie

"Oh,  goody!  He'll be able to try this new recipe your dad found." My dad is busy cooking up some meat. The air is swirling with so many different aromas that makes my stomach growl. 

My parents have always liked Danny. They loved how when I was in my dark place he was there for me and tried to get me to stop. Danny was there for me when Henry got sent to prison and I was sent to rehab. We really have been through a lot. One time my parents told me that we would make a happy married couple.  

"How was work dad? " I don't really care but I would like to be with Danny this weekend. 

"Pretty good I guess. Had a big business meeting today and then I got to surprise Mom with lunch." He looks over at my mom and smiles at her.  Not that she saw it really because her back was to him.  He really really loves her even a blind man could tell you that. 

My parents' marriage went through a really rough patch when the whole Henry and rehab situation went down. They almost got a divorce which would have been super bad. That's  the main reason they go out every weekend. They always tell me marriage isn't easy and time to your self and with each other is needed. Young love... Lame jkjk maybe

We make up small talk for a while when we hear the door open.  "KITCHEN. " I stand up and meet him in the hallway close to the stairs. It doesn't take long to notice what his quick pick up was.  

"Flowers?  Really?  What a kiss up. " I whisper and giggle 

"We want this weekend to happen don't we? " he says with a smile. 

"Yeah I guess it might help. " I hold put my hand,  "Now, my phone please."

Danny pulls it out of his back pocket,  "He is texting you like crazy. " then places it in my hand. 

I fight the urges to look at the texts and stuff my phone in my back pocket. I take Danny's hand and guide him to the kitchen.

"Heeeyyy.  Welcome Danny. " My dad says as he walks over to my mom to look at the recipe.

"Danny, those flowers are beautiful " My mom's face lights up a little more than it already was.  She is a sucker for flowers. Good move Danny. 

"Well actually they are for you Mrs. Wymore." I return to the stool as Danny walks around the island to hand my mom the bouquet of flowers. After the trade Danny quickly comes and sits next to me taking a drink of my smoothie. 

She lifts them to her nose to smell them as she goes to grab a vase.  "ahhh they are wonderful Danny thank you.  We can use them as a center piece for the dinner table.  Speaking of Megan, honey,  could you go and set up the table.  I'll bring you the flowers after I get them done up. 

I nod grabbing four forks and knifes and walk over to the dinning room with Danny flowing. I hand him two of each and walk to grab napkins and he grabs placemats.

"sooo?" Danny asks softly. 

"so what? " 

"what are you going to say to Kyle? "

I walk behind Danny placing down napkins after he puts down and perfects the setting of the place mats. " ummm.  Might just be honest and say that we haven't had any quality friend time in a while and so i can't hang with him and his friends. "

"that's not the while truth but oh well. "

I shrug walking back into the kitchen to grab four plates. When I get back Danny takes two and places them down in the middle of the mats. As we finish my mom walks in with the flowers and places them down perfectly in the middle of the table. "Perfect! Thank you guys.  Now go hang out or whatever we'll call you down for dinner."

Danny walks to the stairs and takes two up at a time. I follow behind but not as quick as him. When I reach the top Danny plops down and lays back om my bed. I lay down next to him and pull my phone out of my pocket.  

"Damn 5 missed calls.  He isn't in a great mood. "

'Are you ignoring me now???!! What did I even do?' -Kyle 

'Sorry.  No I'm not ignoring you. I had to go do something and i needed to get there quick. And then I met up with Danny and he accidentally took my phone with him and i took his.' i place my phone over mine and Danny's head on the bed after sending the text.

"woo lies. " Danny says. I lift my hand up above his chest and let it drop. 

"better than saying I am ignoring him."

"I guess. " Danny pulls out his phone and starts playing his music then laying his phone next to mine. 

I turn on my side and lay my head  on Danny's chest and he slides his hand down my back and rests it on my rib cage. 

"why are guys kinda complicated?" I sigh

"we guys can say the same about girls you know. "

I chuckle "you really aren't wrong.' 

I close my eyes and focus on the beating of his heart. And we slowly doze off into a light slumber

Hey everyone sorry I know not to much went on in this chapter really kinda just a filler dont hate me. 

I just wanna say 3 THOUSAND READS!  my mind is blown.  Didnt think more than like 5 peiple would read each chaper so thank you everyone so much. 

Everyone on wattpad says this but it always falls through but i really wanna start writing more.  Things aren't how they were when I wrote the last chapter and things are pretty content. I got a new and better phone.  I am closer to finishing public schooling. These past few months i have been through a lot of shit and now i'm pretty good and happy.
