Her eyes melted into the baby blues that matched her own. Fascination and adoration fogged over the sleep deprivation and soreness she felt in her body. In her arms was a living breathing thing and she couldn't believe that it was hers. It was all becoming too real, she was only nineteen with a daughter and the Father of her child wasn't there. Even then, she couldn't care less because she knew that the child in her arms- HER child- was going to be okay. She already loved the baby more than her own life. Nothing would get in the way of that.
"Miss Arabella Butera?" A soft voice called from the door. It was her Doctor, Shannon Reese, a single Mother of two. Being a single Mother herself, she knew the hardships of raising children alone, so whenever she came across patients like Bella- young and without a Father figure for the child- she always felt pang of sympathy for them.
"Come in." She smiled. Doctor Reese returned it and walked to Bella's side with clipboard and pen tucked in hand. She started off by asking a series of questions just to insure that the baby is healthy but the last question appealed to her out of all of them.
"Have you decided on a name for the chi-"
"Maurizia." She said anxiously cutting her off, letting her natural Italian roots take over the accented name. The Doctor was a bit taken back by her quick response, but she let out a small chuckle and asked her to repeat the name once more. With a little more calm and collected voice she repeated,"Maurizia. Maurizia Ines Butera."
The name had been discussed prior to her birth with her parents. Maurizia was just a traditional Italian name that appealed to her a lot, but she wanted to surprise her Mom by passing down her name as Maurizia's middle name. Then it all came together.
"That's a beautiful name." Doctor Reese noted, jotting down the important information.
"Thank you." Bella responded as she gently began to rock her baby back and forth. With a click of the pen, the Doctor tucked it in her pocket and reassured Arabella that she would be back in an hour to check in on them. Not really paying attention she blankly responded with short nods.
"Welcome to the world, little Mauri." The red headed Doctor cooed, she left Bella's side and exited the room without another word.
"Little Mauri..." She repeated to herself. The new nickname rang in her ears a couple times, and she liked it. "My little Mauri."
No heartbreak could ever replace the feeling of selflessness given by Motherhood. Love, love is truly the emotion that conquers all. Within the two and a half hours that Mauri has been in this world, she's managed to make Bella's whole once more. Her little Mauri was all that mattered.

This story has literally been saved in my drafts for like 1937292918127 years and idk.
Okay the daughters name is pronounced like Maurit-sia, but like v Italian and shit. Luckily her nickname is Mauri like as in yOU ARE NOT THE FATHER. I'm rambling shoot me.
And Bella's Mom is named Ines and she passed the name down to Mauri as her middle name just to clear that up in case I didn't explain it right. I'm confusing myself I'm so sorry omf. The chapters are probably gonna be really short for the first few sooo yeah. Literally might delete this though bYE.
