Jade woke up with a start. Her dream about telling her best friend that she had a crush on him and being rejected had her all jumpy. Tomorrow was the first year as a Senior. Brett and Jade had been best friends since 2nd grade. They would always do things like a couple ever since they were 7. They'd sleep in the same bed, share food, share secrets; they were so close but never sealed the deal. Jade escaped her thoughts and looked at the clock on her bedside table 3am. She decided to go to sleep so she could get up in time for school in the morning.
Jade woke up for real this time at 7:00 she got her shower, and pulled on a black crop top with jeans. Brett was going to pick her up on their way to school. She grabbed a granola bar said bye to her parents and made her way out the door.
"Hey asshole." Brett chimed as Jade climbed in.
"Hey..uhh" Jade hesitated trying to thing of a good comeback "Jerkface"
"Jerkface, really Jade?
"What? You caught me off guard!"
Brett smirked seeing how flustered Jade was
"Just drive jackass!"
Yeah they called each other names. They both knew neither of them meant it, they were just messing around.
