Newfound Society
They told you
life would be pure;
simple.
easy.
They told you
that it would be
a gift;
a blessing.
But they never
told you
of the challenges
you will face;
of the obstacles
that will get in the way.
No one ever mentioned
the horror life will cause.
Life is challenging,
too complex to understand.
They try to lead you
down the right path,
one full of success
for your future.
Why didn't they
warn us
of the horrid times
to come?
Why didn't they
tell us
about what life
was really like?
Instead,
they filled our mind
with lies,
lies to feed
our very soul.
They made us think
that life was a blessing.
Now,
all we want
is a way out.
