I was sat waiting for food when my phone started ringing it was my ex Riley i dated him for 1 and a half year however he was controlling and violent he would never hit me he just would hurt other people I dated him at 16 then abit after my seventeen birthday when he broke up with me I felt I needed him I was broke. However my family and friends were extremely happy since I moved up to Manchester with Riley and he never let me see my family that's why Rye didn't see me at 16 because I wasn't aloud home. I was hesitant I didn't know whether to answer or not so I looked at everyone eating their food and asked to be excused. As I entered the bathroom my phone rang again and it was Sophie this time. I quickly answered.

R= hey Sophie
S= omg hi have you saw your Instagram comments...

The whole of my family still don't know what went on between me and Riley I don't want to tell them it would break them so the only person I told was Sophie because I was only aloud to see Sophie every time I would see her she could see the blood shot eyes from all the nights of crying, she could see the dark circles from getting no sleep at all and she could see I was broken and scared. I was sixteen living with a violent 20 year old with no way of contacting my mam or dad I just needed my family I was frightened if He was going to punch me just as hard as he punched the wall which now has a hole in, I was scared if he was going to scream at me if I upset him like the man he screamed at in a shop for bumping into him and most of all I was scared I was never going to be able to break free from that monster and see my family and friends again........
There was silence on the phone call while I checked my recent Instagram comments I was scrolling until I saw "riley67" commented 'pls text me babe I misss u' a sick feeling came to me as my stomach was in a knot
S= Ria are you alright?
R=... yeh I'll be fine ..
S= are you sure? You sound upset?
R= I'm sorry I'm going to have to go I'm at Ryes party I'll text you later okay?
S= Okay love you bye
R= bye love you too

As soon as the call ended I felt a tear slide down my cold cheek and drop onto the phone screen. I had millions of thoughts coming into my head all at once.
