James pov:
Birds chirpped my window causeing me to wake up,i stretched and yawned,i gently moved from uneder liz,letting her have the pillow.
I tucked her in and streached again,opening up a box that had my clothes in it.
I grabed a white addidas shirt,a pair of black rippied up jeans ,a pair of socks and calivn Klein white boxers.
I walked in the bathroom and turned on the shower to warm up.Slipping off my previous clothes i walked in,letting the warm watter run down my body,relaxing my muscles.
I looked down at my chest,i havent worked out in a while,i might start losing some muscle.Good thing i have dark skin so i dont need the sun,but i dout ill see sun here.
I rubbed in lavender smelling shampoo and conditioner in my hair.I rinsed off ,dried off and got on my clothes.
"Hey mom whats to eat?"
"We have to go to town to get some food,sorry honey,all we got is 600$ left,thats for food and gas"
"Ill fill out some applications for now"
"Thanks you,can you wake up your sister,we have to go to town,i gotta pick up some food,talk to their leader and sign you in school,lets hope that everything works out well"
I jogged upstairs and shook my little sisters arm"time to wake up,we get to explore a new place and we have to get food"her eyes shot open"food??"
"Yes food"she laughed and jumped up running to her room.I slipped on my black and white addidas shoes and grabbed my black addidas hoddie.
I put the hoddie on my shoulder and walked down stairs."shes getting ready"
"Oh ,thank you"
"Ill be waiting in the hummer"
I walked outside and put the keys in.My dad bought me this when i was 16,it was a birthday present,im 17 about to turn 18 in two months,so everyone considers me an adult i guess.I liked hummers alot so thats why my dad got me it,it had black interior and was white with black on the outside,it still looked brand new.
Mom came out carrying her purse,liz was right behind her,wearing her white sketchers ,blue overall and white shirt to match,her lng brown curly hair looked just like moms.
Liz jumped inthe back while mom sat in the passanger side,i plugged up my phone into my portable charger.
"Where to first mom?"
"Something to eat please"
"Okay"
-------------an hour later------------
We pulled into the drive way of the school.
"Piggy back ride!"liz announced as she jumped up and down.
"Okay,fine"i put her on my back as we walked into the highschool.
I felt her slepping off ,when she has a full belly she falls asleep ,so i turned her around where she was infront of me.
Mom walked beside me,in her short stature she was nartually shy when it came to taller people but never backed down.Two girls that where obviously vampiers with their yellow eyes walked past,they sniffed the air.
"Humans?"one whispered
"No?,why would they allow humans here?"the other wispered back.
I pushed open the office door,the receptionist looked up from files,a glimmer of horror in her eyes as she sniffed.
"M-may i help you?"her voice quivered as she put on the best smile she could.
"Yes,im the new student-"
"They never said anything about your kind-in fact they never said what you where"
The priciples office swinged open"aw~ my honored guests!welcome!"a man in ordanary clothes appeared,he pushed up his owl like glasses with a warm smile and walked over to us,is fangs clearly showing,in fact,i could see all of there fangs that where here,each time they spoke of course and it was disturbing.He held out a hand for me to shake which i gladly took.
"Let me guess your James Vein right?"
"Yes sir"
"Pleasure"
"Like wise"
"Well lets not just stand here ,come in,come in"he made a gesture to his office,my mom walked in first.
A teen with black hair and a fair complexion walked in,his fangs where longer,the others fangs his in there lips while his hanged out slightly but just enough to see.His eyes crimson red,he had on red and white converse,dark blue pants and a black and white jacket.
"Miss,i need a pass to class"
"Another tardy!?"
"Yeah,i hate coming here"
"Then why do you come"
"Because its the law"
He looked over at me,we locked eyes for a split second befor i shut the door.I sat down infrount of his desk.
He handed me papers and a pen"please fill this out while i talk with you"i nodded letting him know to continue.
"Im glad your going to this school i really am,learning is the most important thing to have nowdays,and our leader Charles,has already given the liberty of explaining everything to me,seeing how im in charge of this school,i would like you to know that if anyone-i mean anyone!messes with you at this school or tries to bully you or do anything to put you in harms way,you come straight to me and they will be punished with no if's,and's or but's"
"Thank you-"he cut me off.
"But...young man listen carefully,as you have seen my assistant that you met out there had no idea of what you are,so there fore the stusents will have no clue,they had no contact with your kind,seeing how the government placed us in places like this,dont get me wrong we are happy,but the young ones have no experience with your kind,thats why it frightens some,like my assistant,you smell like a human luckly but slightly different,which makes them confused"
"What your saying is stay quiet about myself?"
"What im saying is that they think your kind is a myth and we would like to keep it that way for as long as possible,so no shifting on achool grounds,no tail,no ears,no growling,and no one is to know of why you are here,where you came from or,as i said before,what you are"
"Yes sir"
"You can still have fun,but the more your secret is kept low,the more safe you will be here like everyone wanted you to be"
"I understand"i handed him the paperwork back.
"Good,welcome to LowRiver Highschool,ill see you at school tomorrow moring and ill have a small talk with the staff so no one will question you at all"he smiled,after we shook hands,all three of us left his office.
"Attention!"the speakers echoed throughout the school as we walked past the assistants desk"all staff must report to the gym immediately please"
The sound of doors opening and closing and the sthe sound of footsteps echoed,teachers that passed us eyes glowed yellow but continued to walk,glancing back at us a few times.
"Well i guess all thats left is to talk to their leader"
"Yeah"mom agreed as she took liz out of my arms and put her in the back seat.
