Chapter 1

James pov:
"James...james"! My lawyer snapped her fingers in my face.

"Hu?what?"

"You where daydreaming again"

"Sorry,please repeat what you said ma'am"i sat back in the black leather chair,making eye contact wih her as she closed documents and pushed up her glasses.

"I said~you,your mom and your sister will be relocated for the time being"

"Where is that at?"she opened one of the documents and handed it to me.

"A town called lowriver"

"Lowriver!?"

"Dont freak out"

"I will freak out!thats vampier territory ,you know how disrespectful that is for our species to wander in there land?"

"I already talked to their leader,he understands your situation and is glad to help"

I sighed and ribbed my hands through my dark brown hair,i rubbed my dark blue eyes"what so i will have to go to school with them?"

"Yes,there is a human school but since your not human they put you in the 'vampier' category"

"I see"

"You will have to get a job for the next few weeks though,your bank accounts freezed,i will have to sort them out for you,in the mean time you will have the vehicles you already had and a new home for all three of you"

I nodded in response.

"All of your stuff is packed and already at your new home,so are the vehicles-"she stopped as her phone rang,she picked it up and stood up walking to the other side of the room as she talked.

I looked down at the document,my mind connected with my moms.

'Lowriver mom'

'Lowriver!?'

'Its gonna be fine,i promise,ill take care of you guys'

'I know you will,your just like your dad'

'Is liz okay?'

'Well she is rousy ,she said hi haha'

'Tell her i said hi back,ill see you in a bit'

I cut the connection as she walked back over to me.

"the vehicle with your mom and sister in it is here,take the copy of this document"she took the one i had and gave me a brown document.

"Have a good day and take care young man"

"Yes ma'am"i got up and walked out of her office,people glanced as i walked past the other employees.

Silence is what i was used to for the last few days,thats all they gave me was stares of shock and silence because i figure they didnt know what to say,i wouldnt know what to say tro me either after what ive done,no one had the guts to do it so i did it,things have to change.

I got into the elevator and pressed the button that led to the first floor.

My brown tail swished back and forth.

I know what your thinking 'hes a wolf right?'well what do you think.

I pushed the glass doors ,walking and getting in a black suv.

"Hi sweetie,you seem tiered"

"I am a bit mom,i havent been able to sleep these past few days"i looked down at my sister,she was asleep leaning her head against mom.

"I know honey,will we be taking a plane to get there?"

"No,its too Smokey and is too thick with woods,what would you expect from a vampier community,they are sensitive to light,we are gonna take a train up the moutain"

My moms light brown tail slightly wagged"i never took a train before,could be exciting"

I smiled,im glad mom is still optimistic,thats probably why dad like her so much,dad was not that much of a happy person,but then again he never had a chance growning up to be happy.

The vehicle came to a stop at the train station,i picked up my sister,she still slept even as i moved her,mom followed as i walked and sat down in our seats.

"Im sorry mom"

"Dont be,you did what your father would of done,because of you we are alive now"

"I suppose so..."i laied my head against the window as other passangers boarded.

I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.

------------------6 hours later---------------------

I joilted awaked as the train came to a stop.

I looked around,then realized what happened and where we are.

I stood up stretching and looked out the window,teens where smoking cigarettes and laughing,all there eyes glowed with yellow,mine glowed gold at the sight of them.

A low growl sounded in my chest,my mom put a hand on my shoulder.

"Honey,put your tail away"i looked at her,her tail was gone,i did as she asked and it disappeared.

The teens looked in at the widow then looked away.

"We gotta makethis place work for now"i looked back at her and she nodded in agreement.

A man approached us as we got off the train"Are you the vein family?"

"Yes"

"Right this way"

We followed right behind him,getting into another suv.

"Brother where are we?"

"Lowriver"

We strted to pass shops,it looked like a normal town besides the cloudy skies and every person was either a vampier or human.

Eyes locked at the suv,there eyes glowing yellow,but one was the color of red?

A few minutes back in the woods we reached the house.

A two storie house didnt look bad.
