CHAPTER 16

Story time

I woke up in the bathroom, tired from the kids saying..

"Daddy?" Maria asked

I jumped startled and got up. I looked in the mirror and I looked tired and not looking like my normal self.

"Daddy, you okay?" Maria asked one more time

"Uh...yeah...sorry sweetie. I was just taking a shower. I'll be right there." Clint replied to Maria

"For a whole day?" Maria asked

A whole day? I fell asleep the whole day with the children unattended. I am a bad, bad father aren't I? I looked at my watch 8:00 P.M. and it was Saturday so I fell asleep on Friday. Wow when they are back to themselves they are going to kill, so I need to make a new nest high up where they can't reach me. Hopefully they don't remember much, hopefully! I wash my face, and teeth and get out. I saw the kids look sad, hungry and desperate. When I walked in their heads looked up and their sad little, chubby faces became happy with joy.

"DADDY!" They screamed in joy

I kneeled down and they hugged and kissed me. Well I missed the Blackhawks games but I think they won.

"We're hungry." They said

Shoot I never gave them food since yesterday.

"Okay, what do you want?" I asked

"mmm...Pizza?" Tony suggested

"YEAH!" They cheered

"Okay, sounds good. Come one." I led them to the kitchen table and about 35 minutes we ate pizza. After that came bedtime.

"Can you read us a story?" Natasha asked

I looked at them, in their faces were words written all over them. Tech, heroism, aliens, weapons, rage, mischievous, agent, conflict, drama and the word in my face is action. At first I didn't know what to tell them but putting those words together made me remember. Our fight with Loki.

"Okay so there was 6 heroes. The leader and Captain Steve Rogers as the mighty Captain America, Natasha Romanoff as the tough Black Widow, Thor as well Thor God of Thunder, Tony Stark as techno, intelligent Ironman and Clint Barton as the eye of the sky Hawkeye. And a bad guy named Loki the God of Mischief, Maria Hill as Agent. Hill, Nick Fury as Director of SHIELD Fury, Pepper Potts as Tony's girlfriend and helper, Ms. Potts" I said

Right when I told them each of their powers and super heroes names and other info they all squealed . I even was surprised that Loki squealed for being a bad guy. Pepper blushed when I said 'Tony's girlfriend' So I went on. Telling them the whole battle. At the end they all fell asleep. With a happy smile. I gave them each a kiss on their foreheads and left. Goodnight my troublesome, awesome kids.
