Chapter Seven

Ca'se Reed (Oracle)

Hello, I am Ca'se Reed, my name is pronounced 'Cassie Read' and I am the only European. It's not like I am given to censorship but I just wanted to point out to those who haven't noticed, that most of my squad mates have are dual citizens. Casmir Canadian American, Farhat Arab American and Ny'ssa Mayan American.

I was born in Europe Manchester precisely. When I was three, my family moved to Wilmington. And that move was to get away from the memories, memories gotten from a fire that killed my mum. When we got to America my father and I had to change our identities. He told me that the fire my mum died in wasn't an accident and that he was part of a secret organization. He said he was a spy.

That was half the truth. He wasn't a spy, he was an Inter galactic enforcer.

Two years later after we had moved, he said he was going for a mission and would be back, he just didn't say when and he put me in a foster home. I had lovely Doctors as foster parents who I later discovered were retired H.A.T.S doctors.

On the 11th of January I mistakenly activated my ability, that was nine years later. From that day my life changed. I could hear people's thoughts, I could feel what they felt and I could also force people to go against their free will. I hate doing that.

I thought I was the only one with abilities, until I met Todd. He was very kind. He let me master my abilities using him. Some weeks later he introduced me to his adopted father and The H.A.T.S organization.

Although I was a hater of violence, I vowed the very day I found out the real people behind my mother's death to put an end to them. THE NAM'AQUAS.

Island of Aquila,

Eagle base,

Kitchen.

The temperature had dropped all of sudden. Ny'ssa was yelling, Ley and Farhat blocked her from Casmir and Casmir was goading her with Taunting smiles.

Even as Ny'ssa spoke her words came out in cold smokes. I turned to Casmir.

Though he was smiling and mocking Ny'ssa, his eyes held a faraway look. The look of a man possessed, deranged even. "Stop this Casmir!" All I met was a blank wall. I couldn't reach him mentally. I rushed to him and shook him but he kept on smiling and cussing Ny'ssa. That is when I realized; Casmir was gone.

"Everybody back away we aren't dealing with Casmir anymore." I said moving back tentatively.

"What do you mean? He is standing right there, isn't he?" Ny'ssa fired.

"I am not stupid Ny'ssa, keep your voice down you wouldn't want to wake what's in control of his body." I shot her a look.

"Too late. I am already awake." Casmir's conscious look returned. He glanced at me and smiled. "Smart girl, you figured when no one else did." He lifted himself into the air.

"Run" I said mentally to the others and sort out Todd. We were the only two people capable of stopping Casmir if he was what I suspected he was.

"Ca'se." Todd answered my call instantly. "M.A.R.T.I.N just warned us, we are coming. Keep him busy, Wells is preparing it."

It was reassuring to hear him mention 'it' the only thing capable of calming an off the charts talent gone phoenix.

"Like hell I am running." Ny'ssa launched at Casmir with a speed that rendered her invisible. Ley had turned into a human sized eagle preparing to attack and Farhat.... I couldn't find him.
