Unexpected Love

Chapter 5

Sarah and I sat in her car while she drove us to our favorite pizzeria. We just sat their listening to the radio, but she didn't ask me why I walked out sensing that I didn't want to talk about it. That's what I loved about her she knew me well and knew when I wanted to talk and when I didn't. We got out the car and walked into the pizzeria.

“Hello my beautiful girls” said Jesse he was the owners son and he was pretty attractive if I must say he was tall with blonde hair and had a nice shadow going on with made him look rustic but in a nice way and he was really muscular.

“hey Jesse” I said smiling as me and Sarah sat at a near by table. We didn't even bother looking at the menu since everyone knew what we got. As Jesse came towards our table to take our orders.

“So my lovely ladies let me guess for you Silver Caesar salad with small fries and raspberry ice tea. And for you Sarah chicken strips with fires and coke?” he asked with a smirk on his face and his eyebrows cocked up.

Me and Sarah both laughed at his cockiness “what can I say my dear you know us well” Sarah said teasingly. He laughed and looked over his shoulders and said “I'll be back my loves, don't miss me too much” he said wiggling his eyebrows while me and Sarah laughed. When he came back with our drinks Sarah smiled “hey James is on his way over here” I always thought James and her would be good together he was our best friend and a really good friend of my brother who was in college. James was extremely attractive pretty much every girl wanted to hook up with him he was tall and had black hair and tan skin with green eyes with a perfect nose and full lips, since he was on the football team he was really muscular. Since my brother Luis was in college he made James look out for me since he was a tad bit over protective but I didn't mind James looking out for me he was a great guy. Since I had my back to the door by the look on Sarah's face I knew James just arrived but than her eyes went big making me glance back and their he was. Aaron right behind James. Oh god.

“Silver!!” James screamed as he ruffled my hair like he always did when he saw me and picked me up and practically squeezed me to death. “James. I. Can't. Breathe.” I stuttered trying while trying to breathe.

“Oh shit ma bad I forget your so small” he chuckled while putting me down and kissing my forehead. “Silver, Sarah this is Aaron, Aaron Silver and Sarah.” he smiled looking back at Aaron while Aaron looked so uncomfortable I kinda felt bad for him. “hey” he said while rubbing the back of his neck with his hand which he always did when he was nervous which I always thought was adorable.

Sarah came in front of me and shook his hand.

“Hi! I'm Sarah, Silver's best friend, its nice to finally meet you Aaron” she said smiling like a goof ball making me chuckle which made Aaron stare at me like I was crazy, poor guy he probably thought I was going crazy with the way he was staring at me which made me laugh even more.

“um Silver, are you okay?” James asked looking at me like I had three heads.

“yeah I'm fine” I said finally controlling my laugh feeling sorry for Aaron as much as I wanted him to disperse I knew there was no point in fighting because eventually it'll come back and bite me in the ass like it did today finally scooting over on the seat and padding the seat next to me

“come Aaron I don't bite” I said with a smile making him taken a back by my sincere act of kindness and he debated with himself whether it was a good idea or not but with out any thought he smiled at me and sat down.

We spent about an hour in the pizzeria just laughing but it was mostly Sarah and James doing all the talking Aaron just sat next to me his body language was tense. With some jokes James would say his body would loosen up a bit when he would laugh but when he sensed me sitting next to him he will become tense all over again. Girls would pass and just glare at me when they would look at Aaron sitting next to me, Aaron had caught on to what the girls around was doing and he would glance my way before blushing a little and looking down. Was he ashamed? Was he embarrassed to be seen with me? Did he not find me attractive? Yeah sure I wasn't the prettiest girl at school but was I that unattractive? I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't notice Sarah calling my name and she was sitting right in front of me!

“Silver, Silver! SILVER!” she practically screamed my name making me jump a little and snap my head up looking at everyone at the table staring at me. “crap” I muttered under my breath.

“Silver are you okay?, you seem out of it today” James said genuinely concerned like always when it came down to me.

“um yeah sorry just have a lot on my mind that's all” I said smiling so that he knew everything was alright.

“well oh alright I was calling you to tell you that me and James have to go so Aaron will take you home okay?” Sarah said while looking back in forth between me and Aaron.

“wait what?!” I said practically screaming looking at Sarah in disbelief while she gave me a 'I'm sorry look please help me out I wanna hang with James' look and being the awesome best friend I am I finally gave in.

“ don't worry Silver I wont bite” Aaron remarked with a smirk while he was mocking me from earlier and I just crossed my arms and turned my head from him.

“don't worry Silver you two should practically know each other he lived in New York as well” James said happily

“oh you have no idea” I muttered more to myself but loud enough for Aaron to hear which earned me a chuckle from him....

only if James knew Aaron was partially the reason why I moved I thought to myself...
