I woke up screaming. I had a horrible nightmare that I was buried alive. I checked the time. It was 1:00 in the afternoon. For me this was normal. I usually woke up around 12:00 or 1:00 in the afternoon. I checked my phone. I had like 20 messages on my group message with Larry,Ron,Holly,Ashley,Ryan and Cameron. They all were trying to get a hold of me. I texted them back.
you can come now. -Sarah
Ok -Ron
See ya -Ash
Can't wait -Holly
Kk -Ryan
See you soon Sarah -Larry
Awesome -Cameron
I packed my bag, got dressed and got ready. I heard the doorbell ring. I darted to the door. The first person to arrive was Larry. I expected him to be first. "Hey." I said. "Hey." He said. He brought his bag in and we waited on my couch for the rest of them to come. "I can't wait to go." Said Larry. "Ya Me too I guess." I said. "What do you mean Sarah? What's wrong?" Larry asked. "I'm scared." I said. "Of what." He asked. "I had a dream I was hurried alive in that forest last night." I said. "Sarah don't be silly you know it won't happen." Larry said comfortingly. The doorbell rang again. I went to go open it. It was Ron and Ashley. Today Ron's dark brown hair was even more perfect then any other day. He came in with Ashley. They looked happy. "Sarah can I talk to you for a sec?" Asked Ron. He walked into my hallway. I followed. "First I wanted to say I'm sorry for being a jerk yesterday, I don't know what got into me." He said. I nodded my head. He looked at me as if he was waiting for me to say something. "Look Sarah you're one of my closest friends and I don't want us to be mad at each other can we please start over." He asked. "Please." He added. "K." I walked out the hallway. As we were talking more people arrived. Everyone was at my house and we were ready to take the bus. To get to our destination we needed to take three buses and then walk for an hour. So in all it was about 2 and a half hours away by walking and bussing. Plus we will need to eat dinner.
Right now it's 2:30 and we were walking to the bus .
Two and a half hours later...
We finally arrived. It was 6:00. The forest was huge. Big enough that you could easily get lost in it by setting one foot in. I couldn't stay in the forest for an entire week. That dream, the picture. It was all too strange. "Sarah, can you come help put up the tents?" Asked Ryan. There were two tents. One for the boys and one for the girls. "Ya sure." I agreed.
Suddenly I tripped over something. Time slowed down. Ron laughing really hard. I hit the floor face first. I lay there for a few minutes, before I even attempt to get up. But I did. I turned around to see Ryan picking up a shovel out of the dirt. It had a blue handle. And the actual handle was metal and red. Was the red rust, or was it . . . I suddenly felt faint. It was the same shovel that buried me alive. My knees shook. I couldn't hear anything except Holly saying something. I couldn't make out what she was saying. I collapsed. I stared up at everyone staring down at me. And then I saw black.
