Nicolò Romano

"Goodmorning Mr. Romano, I have something I would like to speak to you about urgently. Perhaps in a more private setting, I do not wish to be overheard." Victoria said in a worried voice.

"Uh sure Victoria let's go in my office." I walked toward the room concerned.

"As I checked on Athena last night she told me what she overheard Ms. Martinez and a friend say one time. To be quite honest it concerns me." Victoria began.

I instantly began to get anxious. "What is it Victoria? Please tell me." I ran my hands through me hair.

"Well she said that she heard that Ms. Martinez's father did not want her to have Athena. But because the man involved hurt her." She said quietly.

"Oh God. I should talk to Aphrodite about this." I said upset by the news. How could someone hurt someone like her?

"With all due respect Sr. I think you should wait for her to talk to you about it. It will show shes trusts you." She said looking away as if knowing contradicting me would make me angry, and it did.

I sighed and thought for a moment. "You're right. Thank you for notifying me Victoria. You don't get played enough for dealing with me. I would like to send you on an all expenses paid vacation."

"Oh it's okay Mr. Romano, I'm glad to help." She laughed nervously.

"Oh I insist Victoria you do so much for me and I want to show my gratitude. You can call me Nicolò." I said smiling at her.

"Well if you insist I don't see why not. Thank you Nicolò." She smiled back brightly.

"Let's get breakfast set up for the two lovely girls upstairs, yes?" I gestured. Ten minutes later I knocked on their door.

"Come in." I heard. So as I entered I found Aphrodite brushing her daughter's dark brown slightly curly hair.

"Mommy I still want purple." Athena said.

"Purple? I asked.

Aphrodite sighed. "She wants to dye her beautiful hair ombre purple. Kinda like mine, just purple. I told her no."

"I think you have beautiful hair already." I said to Athena.

"Mommy has pretty hair too." She pouted.

"Who wants breakfast?" I quickly tried to change the conversation. We went downstairs and sat at the table. There was eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice, cereal and milk. Aphrodite gagged for a second before swallowing and grabbing fruity pebbles.

"Mommy gets sick from bacon." Athena said as she grabbed a piece.

"Who doesn't like bacon?! I asked incredulously.

"Mommy won't buy it cause she can't cook it without getting sick." She sighed.

"I can't stand it. Since I got pregnant with Athena it's just sickening." She sighed. I looked at her for a moment. She looks kinda green.
