After rushing to the bus stop and walking home, I made sure I arrived 10 minutes earlier so she wouldn't have a reason to hit me or get angry.  I don't care if I literally had to kiss her ass but I was gonna get her approval to go.  I then approached her in the living room.  She was smoking weed and sniffing something that looked pretty much like cocaine.... she's probably high but if I don't ask I'll never know.  I then shrugged my shoulders and started to talk.

"Um.... m-mom"  She looked up at me like she didn't know who the hell I was.  Yup.... she's definitely high.

"Huh?.... What do you want?"  She asked right before she sniffed the rest of the cocaine on the table.  Wow, what a mess, but she kinda seems like shes in a good mood so I should just get over with it.

"Uh....... um, our school is having a Masquerade party...... and I was um... wondering if I can go?"  I asked hesitatingly.  And I know it sounds like i'm exaggerating right now but my life sort of depends on her response.  I had my fingers crosses behind my back when she suddenly replied..

"I don't give a fuck what you do.  You could be a prostitute selling your body to the whole town and I wouldn't give 2-fucks, you're already an embarrassment to me anyway."  I was shocked at her cold and careless response.

"Thank you so much mother!"  I yelled at her jumped up and down.  Huh?-What?... it's not like I expected her to sugar coat it for me... she is my mother after all..

After hearing the good news, I ran up to my room, grabbed the money I had stashed and headed back downstairs.  When I came back down, she was already passed out on the couch to even notice me leaving.  I wonder if shes dead?.... Oh well, whatever I have more important things to worry about, like how am I gonna find the right dress?...

≈MALL≈

In my most honest opinion... I suck at shopping... I don't even shop for myself.  My mother would just give me a bag of clothes in a trash bag that I highly guarantee were used because they smelled like something crawled up into them and died.  I wish Jessi was here to help me but there was no way I could've went all the way to Jessi's house then to the mall.  It would've taken up way too much time plus I really didn't want to bother her with my problems... she gets enough of this at school.  So, I guess it's just gonna be me, myself and I.  And as I was thinking this I noticed a beautiful dress store called "Eternal" and decided to go in.  It seemed like a really good store too because it was busy had a lot of customers in it.

"U-Um, excuse me"  I tapped the guy who was standing at the counter who didn't really seem like he was doing anything.  He was really tall and had light pink hair and black square framed glasses and he seemed really nice too.

"Hmm?  How can I help you sweetheart?"  He asked while writing something down on his notepad.

"Uh.........I was wondering if you could help me find a dress..."

"Hmm.  Okay, what kind  of dress are you looking for?"

"Huh?  What do you mean?...."  I replied with a confused look on my face.

He then tilted his glasses.  "You know.... cocktail, flared, prom, wedding.... Do you have any idea of what I'm talking about?"  I looked at him clueless with my mouth hanged open like he was speaking gibberish.  Then he asked "Honey, where are you wearing the dress to?"
