Chapter 04

Melony's POV

As I was waiting impatiently inside the grocery shop I saw a group of men covered in all black entering the store looking around, like searching for someone. They look like a gang. I can't even recognize if they were young or old. Or their gender. Because their eyes are covered in glasses, all of them are wearing black hoodies. Plus, they were wearing masks to cover half of their faces.

As in they figured they have been watched few of them turned on my way. I had no idea what I've got myself into because I thought they were here to murder someone or something. Maybe they're related to the guy who was after me. Oh my god, am I really going to die here today? Call me being dramatic but who in the world wears all black looking creepy as hell in the night appearing at a grocery store for shopping? No type of normal person does that.

My eyes got widened when the guy who was in the front, dropped his hoodie removing his glass,  making eye contact with me. Those familiar dark brown eyes, it was Kai. I never knew I would be glad to see those eyes in my whole life. He was my life savior. As if figuring out I was dumbstruck he makes his way towards me. I couldn't even get to say a word because I was pulled in for a bear hug.

'well, forget about what I said earlier.'

"Thank god. You're safe."

He let go of me taking a step back. He scanned my body up and down before twirling me around like I'm some kind of a toy. I almost lost my balance but Kai catches me with an innocent smile on his face. He just twirls me for god sake. Huh! Look at that face acting as if nothing happened. Idiot!

"W- what the hell was that?"

He chuckled before putting an arm around me acting like nothing happened to drag me out of the shop, His friends followed from behind us. I want to smack his head for ignoring me but I decide to let it go because at least I should be grateful he came here to save me. So once we went outside, I looked around quickly to check if the stalker guy is still there but he's not. I sigh in relief.

"He's gone." It came like a whisper I never thought anyone would hear it.

"Huh? Who?" Kai looked confused before finally, remembering why he came to get me in the first place. The hold on his arm tightens around me making me flinch.

"K- kai. Let me go." He didn't hear me because he was too busy looking around the roads. So I talked louder again repeating the same words.

"Kai, let me go. You're hurting me."

"Shit! Sorry. I didn't-" He scratch the back of his neck looking down at me since I'm a bit shorter than him. Okay, I admit I'm a lot short than him. He was like a giant bear compared to me.

I smiled with a nod. "It's fine."

"So... Is she the girl who makes Kai-" A guy came closer to us with a playful smirk on his face but he couldn't finish whatever he was about to say because Kai literally jumped on him trying to cover his mouth stumbling the poor guy backward almost landing on the floor.

"Baekhyun! Shut up, you idiot." Kai hissed under his breath giving a death glare to his friend.

"Fine. Fine." He raised his hands in surrender and fixed himself before focusing his eyes on me. His smile almost got me off guard. It's so bright. Even brighter than the whole universe. I mean he looks like an angel. With that perfect face, body, and all. Not only him, but all of his friends also look good. Now I understand why they were called bad boys. They've got the looks and the scary part but when they smile it was like you have met an angel who fell from heaven. I've only heard a bunch of stories about them but I've never met them face to face like this. Now that I have looked closer I do remember some of their faces but I've never got to make a conversation with them before.
