1 - How the Cat and the Witch met.

Drip.

Drop.

Rain had started to pour down.

"What luck I have."

A small black kitten tried to find shelter under a cardboard box. It didn't help much as the ground was wet and the cardboard was damp. She started shivering from the cold.

"Hey, what are you doing here all alone...?" The small kitten looked up frightened, only to be met with emerald green eyes. "Are you lost...?" The boy tried to pick her up but she jumped out of the cardboard box and made a run for it.

"Ughhh... why did I do that! He could have helped me...Oh well..." The black kitten hung her head low, dissapointed in herself.

Bang! Crash!

The little kitten quickly turned around, it was the same boy, but this time, he wasn't alone. Two Adults were ganging up on him. "It looks like he's in trouble!" She thought, and quickly dashed to his side.

"What do we have here? A small kitten trying to be a hero? HA! What a joke." The male adult teased, insulting the small cat. The cat hissed at them, trying her best to look fierce. "The cat is in the way, get rid of it." One of the adults turned into a were-dog, growling at the small kitten. The were-dog charged at her but she stood her place until the very last second and jumped above the dog, latching onto its back.

"Get off me!" The were-dog thrashed around, trying to get the kitten off of its back. The kitten sunk her claws into its back and the dog yelped. The dog kept thrashing until the kitten finally flung off. "No!! Don't hurt it!" Shouted the boy.

"Shut up you brat!" The small cat slowly got up. She was about to charge at the dog again but limped instead, looking down she saw blood leaking out of one of her front legs. "Gah! That hurts!" She thought to herself.

Suddenly green magic surrounds the adult and the were-dog. "Thats enough. You are under arrested for trying to kidnap this boy. Get out of my sight before I curse you." A man with a set of familiar emerald green eyes stops, and looks at the two adults.

"Damn it!" One of the adults shouted at the other adult. "It's all your fault, if you'd disposed of that kitten quicker, then we would have been fine!" The adult cursed back. "Says the one doing nothing but watching!!" The other shouts back.

The boy rushed over to the kitten, carefully picking it up and holding it close to his chest. The adult which saved us came over to the boy. "Are you alright Kody?" The Adult asked. "So his name is Kody...." Those were the kitten last thoughts before she fell asleep, safely in his grasp.

"I see you have a little friend, did you want to keep it?" The older male asked. Kody nodded his head, "The kitten saved me, or at least it stalled long enough until you got here". The adult nodded, a little shocked that the kitten had saved his son. "Very well, but your looking after it, I don't want to deal with any pets at the moment." Kody eyes lit up. "Thanks."

~An hour later~

The kitten woke up on a small red blanket, which was folded so it would be a comfortable kind of bed. "Oh, your awake." The small black kitten looked up to see the same boy, Kody. "My father healed your leg, so you should be okay to move around. Jeez, I must look so stupid talking to a cat" He mumbled the last part to himself.

"Thank you...!"

Kody looked at the cat in shock...quickly taking five steps back.

"You can TALK?!?!??!"
