"...I can, can't I?" Mummers the small kitten, she looked up at him, surprised.
"Did you seriously just figure this out now...?" Kody stared at the kitten, still shocked.
"Anyway, thank you so much for saving me! I don't know what would've happened if you didn't come any sooner!! I might have died of hypothermia from the rain...hunger...or maybe eaten by a large bird..." The kitten purred shaking in fear.
"Um...no problem?" Kody replied."A kitten who can talked huh...this will be interesting" he thought.
"Oh! I got distracted again! I'm (y/n), it's a pleasure to meet you master Kody" the small kitten bowed.
"MASTER?!?!? Wait, wait, I think you got the wrong Idea, I'm not your master!! And how do you know my name?!" Kody shouted confused. It was lucky they were in the attic so no-one could hear them.
The small black kitten tilted it's head to the side, " I heard an adult say your name was Kody, am I wrong? And aren't you a witch, I heard all witches have green eyes!! That so cool! My master is a witch!!" The kitten jumped up and started bouncing.
"Yeah...I guess I'm a witch...BUT I'm not your master!!!!" Kody yelled. "Who does she think she is?" Then it suddenly came to him, "your a female...right?" He asked. "Otherwise that voice would sound so weird if they were to be a male".
"Yep!! I am a female!! My master is so smart!!" she jumped around even more, her tail swishing in the air happily.
"For the last time (y/n), I'm not your master." he strictly said, getting a bit irritated now.
She stopped. Her ears lowers as she looks down. "But I thought you were going to look after me..." she says sadly, "Are you going to throw me onto the streets...?" her small cat eyes sadden, nearly now on the verge of crying.
"That's not what I mean!! *sigh* You'll be staying here unless you want to leave...but on one condition! You must call be Kody, not master Kody, master etc. Just Kody." He says, trying to not to upset the small kitten once again.
"Yayyy!~" She jumps into Kody's arms, and starts to purr happily. "Of course! I'll do anything you say Kody! I have decided, from now on, I am your familiar." The kitten stats boldly, proud of the thought she came up with.
"Familiar?" Kody asks, confused looking at the small creature in his arms.
"Yes!! I read that most witches have familiars! Such as an Owl or a Cat like me!" She exclaims as her eyes twinkle excitedly.
"*Sigh* I guess that wouldn't be that bad..." He uttered as he turns his head to look away to hide a small blush from the purring kitten. "I can't believe (y/n) wants to be my familiar..." He thinks shocked.
"Also...you can't talk with anyone else. This secret stays between you and me, got it?" Kody says seriously.
