Chapter 11 The kiss

First thing that popped in my mind as I opened my eyes was Joey. I know, you expected me to think about my magical date last night but no Joey was on my mind.

They way he hugged me; he hugged so tight that I could feel his heartbeat.

I don't what my feelings towards him but they definitely changed.

I blushed just the thinking of that.

"Tell how the date was, did you kiss?" Shyann said as we walked down the hall.

"Shyann let the girl breath" Jay said as we walked to our locker.

"No since my little siblings interrupted me" I said in bad mood. I was not in mood for all have this just opening about Dakota to the person I met a few weeks ago is just strange...but it's like a weight got off my chest.

"What those little monsters? What did they do?" Jay said and I laughed but as I was going to tell them then Evan interrupted us.

"Hello guys, do you mind if I steal Avery from you?" Evan said.

I smiled weakly and Shyann winked, "Hey" I said tucking the piece of hair behind my ear.

He smiled attractively, "I'm having party this weekend and I was thinking if you wanna come as you know...as my date."

"Ummh is this like a second date?" I asked trying to flirt back since I had a lot on my mind and I wasn't really in a good mood.

"Yeah, so what do you say?" he said with his hands in his pocket.

"Well, I'll think about it." I smirked, Then he grabbed my waist and got nearer to my ear and whispered. "Maybe I get to kiss you this time." He said and I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Maybe" I whisper back and he smiled and walked away.

I looked around and I saw Joey face looking at me.

I smiled and waved and he did too.

Walked up to him, "hey" I greeted and he looked delighted.

"Someone had a romantic moment there" Joey joked and I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever" I said and he smiled and I can tell that he was smiling unwillingly. Like he's force to do it, its funny how I got to know him in just a couple of weeks.

"Look Joey about the morning-" he quickly cut me off, "Look whatever happens there stays there" he said then a real smile appeared on his face.

I wanted to hug him that moment but of course I pushed that annoying voice inside my head aside.

"Thank you Joey" I said and he smiled.

The days went by so fast, days were typical in school was this girl everyone thinks they know but at night I was me.

At lunch, Evan would come and sit with me and the others and of course showers me with flowers and sweet talks. Man he's just so damn good at it.

At home, I avoid any gathering with mum making excuses every time and that started to piss everyone else since but I don't give a shit. She's the one who pushed me away. Believe it or not I haven't seen my mum ever since the funeral.
