Chapter Three:

Kenna's P.O.V.

"We don't have the time to be sorry, so baby be the life of the party!" I woke up to my alarm singing Shawn Mendes. He's is so perfect so when I wake up to his voice I'll have a good day. I get up and take a shower. Once I'm done with my shower, I change into faded skinny jeans and a sweatshirt with my sk8r shirt. I wear the sweatshirt so it hides my cuts. Hayes doesn't know about those. I hope he never finds out. I grab my skateboard out of my closet and its all dusty and gross. Mostly because I haven't skated since Hayes and I last hung out which was like a year and a half ago. I walk upstairs, because my room's in the basement, and go to the park. The park is right across the street from my house so as soon as I get outside I see Hayes on a swing.(¶-Kenna ☺-Hayes)

¶ "Hey Hayes..."

☺"Kenna! I didn't think you were gonna come."

¶ "Why wouldn't I? We're friends now right?"

☺"Yeah of course..." Right after he finished talking my phone started ringing. And of course it was Shawn as my ringtone.

¶ "Sorry I have to take this." After I finished with my phone call with my obsessive ex boyfriend Cole I started talking to Hayes again.

☺"Is your ringtone Shawn Mendes?"

¶"Yeah, why?"

☺"Oh just wondering."

¶"So, wanna climb the tree?

☺"Sure. We ran over to our tree, no we don't own it we just say its ours. Usually Hayes has to help me climb the tree but I can climb it by myself now. When I got up there were new carvings in the tree.

¶"Hayes?"

☺"Yeah?"

¶"Have you been here recently?"

☺"No, why?

¶"There are new carvings..."

☺"There are?!"

¶"Yeah..."

☺"Are they good ones?"

¶"No."
